ScubaDadMiami
While on my exercise walk with Slowpoke in his stretch limo, I spotted this gray Energi. The driver said that it's a company car that she takes home. However, when I asked her about her MPGe, she didn't even know where to look! It was only 38.5. She said that she does long highway 75+ MPH type driving, and never charges. Neither she nor the company have charging stations. Why would a company buy an Energi and then not really use it? What a waste! :nonono: Edited May 24, 2014 by ScubaDadMiami Noah Harbinger
cmax-nynj
It could be due to tax incentives since after the Fed and possible state rebates the cost of an ERG is less than a similarly equipped SEL. Besides, how many SUV or sport cars' owner know what their cars are capable of?
salsaguy
Let them dontate to the CMax forum here as a charity for a good cause to do more "research" :)very sad to hear about their lack of support. but there is no excuse not to charge it! NO charge-ie, not MPG-ie. low charge means Gas ICE engine running most of the time instead of EV.doesnt the app you can use with the car have a listing of all the local charging stations around your area if you dont have one at home or work?surely there are some near her house or work she can use?did you educate her to learn more about the car?that Energi is supposed to get 60-100 MPGe right? ScubaDadMiami
She didn't care. Sine her company pays for everything, she had no interest.
cmax-nynj
Dunno about Florida but in NYC's the electricity rate can be very high it may be better off just filling it up with regular.
