I got 48 MPGs going from LA to Vegas but on the way back, I got snorkered with a 30+MPH head wind (thanks storm) and got that as well. nsteblay Posted May 30, 2014 Report Share Posted May 30, 2014 Just drove from Minnesota to Florida to South Carolina and back to Minnesota - 3800 mile trip. Overall average was 41.1 MPG. Mostly freeway driving at posted speeds - 65 - 70 MPH. Air conditioning on the whole time and used cruise control extensively. Car was fully loaded with luggage and a family of 4.
