knahs42
My new C-Max will have to sit in the sun all day at work. I was thinking of getting the windows professionally tinted to the legal limit as I had done with my previous cars. It has helped keep the interior cooler in my previous cars. Has anyone done this on the C-Max or know of any issues that I need to consider?
Kelleytoons
I had ours tinted (35% on all windows except front, of course) and I do think it's helped in the hot Florida sun (I have a custom screen for the front). It keeps the car a lot cooler when parked (at least 10-15 degrees cooler) but even better I think it keeps it cooler when just driving around. I didn't want it tinted any darker, though, because visibility is really important to me as well. I got it done at a custom tint shop that got great online reviews and for around $200 they did a great job with a lifetime guaranty.
marshtex2
I had the rear windows tinted but not the front door windows. I found I like them clear for best dim light visibility. In addition to keeping out some sun's heat, there is a security angle about not seeing all your stuff inside.
ArizonaEnergi
I did 35% front, 5% back, and are very satisfied in the Arizona heat and for the privacy.

JohnnOhio
I put tinting on my windows. Along with a sun shade in the windshield to keep the sun out, it seems to do well parked in the sun all day.
