RockwallRick
Just wondering if anyone has removed their badges for a cleaner look? My Wife would kill me if I did it to her car, but it would probably bea long time before she even noticed it!! By the time she did, I could just plead ignorance and say, "Maybe they just fell off"
wab
There is a thread about this, somewhere, searching. Someone mentioned that "First Responders" are thought to look for the Hybrid badge, because of the high voltage, potential battery fire, etc. hybridbear
Adrian_L
Wasn't the other thread was about dealership stickers? (easy to remove with a hairdryer and WD40) Be careful - they could be rivetted on, covering a hole or two. Or attached with epoxy or contact cement. RockwallRick
The badges are harder to get off but they are normally applied with 3M double sided tape.
RockwallRick
I have been forewarned!! There will be NO debadging on the C-max! I don't think it is worth getting a divorce! lol hybridbear
Adrian_L
A wise man. I have to say that removing the dealership decals and spraypainting the licence plate holders black (Plasticote for plastic) improved my C-max's look. Unless you love your dealership (I hate mine or rather my ex-dealership) why be a driving advertisement for them? RockwallRick
The only thing I have done is add a chrome license plate holder on the tailgate. I think it goes well with the existing badging and most importantly my Wife thinks it looks good on there!
aforeign
Was pursuing the site and I saw this thread, I have debagged all but the c-max logo and the small "ecoboost" logo on the liftgate. They are in fact held on with the 3M double sided tape. I spent about an hour with dental floss, cleaning wax, and some polish. The paint (pearl white) looked perfect.I do think it looks cleaner, especially removing the giant "Hybrid" lettering on the doors. I spent a lot of time in southern Europe, where you see lots of versions of the 'max, sans all the lettering which is where I got my inspiration. fazzman
Took all badges off my cmax. Only have cmax on the hatch.
fazzman
Used a heat gun and fishing line. Picked off any 3m tape then used a porter cable buffer to clean off any residue.
