stevedebi
For 2015 they dropped the Ice Storm color, and one of the gray shades. They replaced it with "Magnetic" and "Tectonic", both gray shades. I'm glad I got mine while I could! I love this color.
Kelleytoons
Yeah, I feel the same way. I'm not sure what it is with all the neutral colors on the C-Max. Maybe they feel like folks are like Prius owners (slow, conservative in every way). Given how the car drives I'm actually surprised there aren't more vibrant options offered (although for us Ice Storm is perfect, my second choice might have been the red one). I suppose that would have been my second choice.

pha1226
I just bought my 2013 C-MAX in ice storm. The color was a huge selling point! There are took many gray/silver cars on the road.

Sadly, that's par for the course, these days. From what I remember from my R&D pre-buying phase, the majority of car manufacturers give you a choice of White, Black, Champagne(beige if you prefer), Silver, and occasionally burgundy or dark blue. Boooring. Remember those great turquoise and mustard orange colors from VW/Porsche in the 70s? Edited February 20, 2015 by Adrian_L
Digital Penguin
2014 C-Max Energi in Ruby Red here! - I just love the color! Plus "Sparky" (my cars name :-) ) coordinates with my Florida State License plate on the front. brbevil
salsaguy
I just bought my 2013 C-MAX in ice storm. The color was a huge selling point! There are took many gray/silver cars on the road. I am very upset they got rid of Sterling Gray as it would allowed my wife to get her new CMax (whenever that finally happens this year) in a color that is almost the exact same Gray as my 2012 VW Passat SEL so that we would have matching car colors in our house. Oh well. Hope the replacement color will be acceptable for us. Funny how they get rid of the most popular color instead of the least popular (oppositr of logic). stevedebi
In the past week I've seen about a half dozen Ice Storm, including 3 Energi.

Even considered looking for a 2014 in Ice Storm. None left in my area. Now they're dropping the Blue Candy and adding what appears to be a Navy blue. Booooring. Ice Storm, Turquoise or bright yellow? I'd buy one ASAP.
Kelleytoons
When you say "none left in my area" I assume you mean the entire state, right? Because your dealer can easily network with all the other dealers in your state (and some in other states): our own vehicle came from WAY upstate because there wasn't another Ice Storm with the equipment we wanted at the time (and this was last year). I'd be *amazed* if you couldn't find a dealer, somewhere, that had access to a similar network, and equally amazed that in that network they couldn't locate at least one vehicle in the color you want. But perhaps it's just gotten very, very scarce now (you can also shop out of state as well -- any local dealer will still have to honor your warranty and repair work, so going elsewhere is not a handicap). At the very least I'd try Nevada.

They only had 2 Energi, both with high end option packages. I think it was never ordered a whole lot - I've only seen a couple since I bought mine, but I see a lot of the other colors. There are a bunch of C-Max here in LA.

I'd buy one ASAP. Your dealer isn't trying very hard! I quickly (way less than 5 minutes) found a 2014 C-MAX SE with 202a package in Ice Storm located in southern California (because I used 90210 as the zip code, easy to remember) using the Ford.com website to 'build', and then find. They initially ask you to build a 2015, but once you're finished, you can select 2014 and the 2014 colors with the search criteria. So here's the VIN: 1FADP5AU2EL506713And the Monroney sticker:http://www.inventory.ford.com/services/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin=1FADP5AU2EL506713 If you know the VIN number of the vehicle you want, you can just enter it in a search engine to find the dealership name: http://2fairwayford.com/Los-Angeles/For-Sale/New/Ford/C-Max/2014-Hybrid-SE-Gray-Car/40472400/ UPDATE: Here's are a few others in California and Oregon: 2014 SE with 201a package in Ice Storm (Tracy CA)VIN: 1FADP5AU8EL516467http://www.inventory.ford.com/services/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin=1FADP5AU8EL516467 2014 SEL with 300a and panoramic sunroof in Ice Storm (Portland OR)VIN: 1FADP5BU7EL517981http://www.inventory.ford.com/services/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin=1FADP5BU7EL517981 2014 Energi SEL with 303a package and panoramic sunroof in Ice Storm (Monterey CA)VIN:1FADP5CU4EL512350http://www.inventory.ford.com/services/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin=1FADP5CU4EL512350 So in ~45 minutes, using free tools widely available to anyone with an internet connection, I found 4 2014's in Ice Storm, the point being, maybe you need to find a dealer willing to work with you to find the car you want. markd
We drove from Indiana to Nebraska to get ours. They wanted $1,000 dollars to ship it so we went and picked it up.
