In my Escape hybrid, they were down between the bottom of the seat and the door jam, a rather odd and hard place to reach. I finally found another picture that someone took of the switch control for the seat heaters, so thanks, I found it. My experience with the seat heater:- at first, a setting of 1 was uncomfortably warm, a true roaster.- then it stopped working... perhaps burnt out?- now that I've had it replaced, a setting of 1 is comfortably warm, and the passenger side won't heat up...
