robert
Have a 2013 c-max , drove it last winter with no issues, this year we have had about the same weather, but noticed this morning that the lower shutters were opening and closing with a a lot of noise, and upper shutters were covered in ice and would not open at all. I pulled into my garage and sprayed hot water on the shutters to remove the ice. That seemed to cure the problem...will monitor.Any one else had this issue?thanks.. Adrian_L
Nope. Occasionally the double-click doesn't work with my auto trunk lid at below 0 celcius. I'd spray a bit of lithium grease in and around those shutters just to keep them moving well and inhibiting any rust caused by that snow/water. ptjones
This is a good reason to install Grill Covers which eliminate this problem. BTW I have a shutter assembly from my car from Deer accident and it is all plastic and can be broken easily. ;) Paul
