Russell Fried
Looking for the rear back passenger head rest for my CMAX. Right side. Misplaced mine when i removed it. Leather interior the beige color. Anyone have any ideas?
ls973800
Perhaps a salvage yard? Maybe the Focus, Escape, and C-Max all use the same headrest? Here is a link for a nation wide search of participating salvage yards. Put in what you are looking for, and you might find it. You can also send a message of what you need if you don't find it. I looked real quick under Headrest but didn't see any listed for just a C-Max. http://car-part.com/ obob
markd
I'm parked next to a Focus sel right now and the headrest are exactly the same as my cmax.
fbov
I've parked next to Escapes and marveled at the interior similarities... I wonder if there's a generic part number you could look for, instead of a C-Max-unique one.
markd
Salvage yards can be very territorial, I have a buddy that runs one, and you almost have to go look for the part you need. My daughter has an 2007 Tahoe with a broken mirror, the mirror its self is pretty cheap but the paint makes it cost about $400, $100 under the deductible, I have tried for a year to find one. They use the same mirror on about six different vehicles and only have four colors. You would think that it would be easy to find a gray one but I haven't found one yet. I don't understand "Salvage yards can be very territorial". My son needed a passenger outside mirror with heat and memory for his Buick Rendezvous. Using the link I listed for the OP, I found numerous mirrors throughout the country. I was able to find several in the same color as his that needed replacement. The yard I bought from shipped it and the cost was under $60.00! I called and spoke to them before buying, and they provided answers to all of my questions. The mirror and glass were in GREAT condition! From a GM dealer, an unpainted mirror would have been over $300.00 if not more. Have you tried the car-parts link I posted? I did a quick search and found numerous mirrors in grey, just don't know what options or what side you need. Here is a copy of the search fields you can use to look for a mirror for your daughters car at that site. ls973800
That's surprising that you can't find one. Must be like looking for the golden ticket. What side do you need, and what options (heated, memory, off-road, etc)? I'm just wondering why it would be so hard to find one.
markd
I can buy a new one for about $80 dollars and have it painted. They're heated with the signal, It might wind up being her Christmas present.
