Seymour_Bears
Bought the car six weeks ago, but just got on the forum a few days ago. 3100+ miles on the car now, and very satisfied with it. Actually, it's my wife's car, and I inherited her 08 Escape. She doesn't get very excited about cars, so she's treating this like any other car; but I'm glad to see she's getting 14 MPG better overall economy than she had with the 4 cylinder Escape. The car will be used as her daily driver, but also for trips, about once a month, to a small cabin we have in east TN (about 350 miles each way). The car is an SEL with just one option: the premium white paint. We'd actually gone shopping for a new Escape, saw this on the lot, and figured it better fit our needs. I'm already picking up some good info on this forum.
RachelnLa
Welcome! Glad you are enjoying the forum too. I have learned so much reading here. Ordered our cmax today. Cabin in TN? Nice! We have land about 45 miles north of here. We converted a portable building into a house after hurricane Rita took our home. Once we had a new place we hauled it up to our land and that's where we stay. Love it!
Seymour_Bears
The Navy took me to New Orleans for a year. Great time. Lived in Slidell and worked in Bridge City.
RachelnLa
We do like to pass a good time down south. Lol. I am actually in southwest La, about 50 miles up from the Gulf and 45 miles from the tx border.

CrystalSC
*waves to a South Carolinian* I'm in Greenville but I am from Columbia. I haven't seen any C-Maxs on the road in SC yet. You?

I haven't seen any C-Maxs on the road in SC yet. You? I haven't seen any, except the other two on the dealer's lot. I've taken the car up to Tennessee twice, via I-26, so I've had it up to your neck of the woods. I also took it to Orlando to see my son; again, no other C-Max sightings. FoutsNC
Congrats on your purchase and I am glad to hear you are still liking it after 6 weeks. We purchased one last week. I traded in a 2011 Explorer Limited and I am still surprised at how much I am enjoying the C-Max. We made the choice due to our needs changing and the savings. I really didn't expect to enjoy being more practical. We live in NC, yet we did make a trip down to Charleston last weekend in our new C-Max. I really enjoy the second looks after people assume it's another Prius and then see the Ford emblem :)
