Doing a quick search on "Google" for "phone has bad gps reception" many suggestions come up, the most common being to check your phone settings. https://www.androidpit.com/how-to-improve-your-gps-signal-on-your-android Doing a search for "external gps antenna for smartphone" also brings up many different results. You will have to check them out to see if anything sounds like it would work for you.
