Taiwwa
My C-Max SEL has a creak on the roof. I'm sure lots of you have had it. Basically the interior is loose. How to fix this? Glue? Get it closer? Or put a spacer so it isn't in contact?
scottwood2
Standard roof with no glass? How many miles? No problems here so far
fbov
Check your car's service history as there were recalls on some VINs for roof liner issues. Also look in the recalls and service bulletin section of the forum. I'm point you, but I've got an HTTP 500 issue.https://owner.ford.com/http://www.etis.ford.com/Frank
Bill-N
Do you mean the headliner (i.e. "ceiling")? There were reports here about gaps at the edge of the headliner. Especially noticeable (from outside) where the headliner meets the the windshield. You'll just have to search around for more info. Of interest might be the old post about adding a dome light to the headliner to help illuminate the rear area. There were good pictures that show how the headliner attaches to the roof. As for me, I've had no headliner issues and certainly nothing wrong with the actual roof itself. --- Edit ---Rereading you original post, I thought you were talking about a crack! By "creak" do you mean noise? Either way, I've had no problems. Edited February 5, 2016 by Bill-N
Adrian_L
"Creak" has always meant noise to me. Like an old creaky house, or wooden boat. On my SEL (with glass roof) the overhead console with the light switches makes a slight vibrating sound, occasionally. If you touch it, it stops. It's barely audible, so I haven't worried about it too much.

I agree about touching it stopping it, at least temporarily. I touch it right by the pano window (just above my head) and it makes something like a velcro noise, and apparently "sticks" it enough that it stops making noise. Taiwwa
Yeah, moonroof. The car is so quiet that little rattles become very apparent.
stevedebi
I've not heard anything from my Pano Roof, even running in EV.
