Eco mode

I read the manual today, and as previously stated by 3 Plus Golfer, for non-Energi cars, Eco Cruise is part of Eco Mode. So if you want Eco Cruise, you must turn on Eco mode or else you get normal cruise.

There is also an EV+ mode activated in the left menu under settings. This will learn frequent destinations and keep the car in EV mode as you approach them. Apparently, this takes a few iterations (10?) of arriving at a destination in order to recognize and enable this feature.

So why is that not the case with my 2016 Hybrid?

Are you sure Eco cruise is actually enabled when you set Eco cruise to "on" in the informational displays? both when EcoSelcct is enabled and not enabled. Reading the manual seems to indicate that it may not be enabled through the informational displays. But perhaps could be disabled in EcoSelect if Eco Cruise is disabled in the informational display.  Another case of a poorly written manual. :)   With EcoSelect button off and Eco cruise on, and when cruise control is enabled, how do really know whether you are in Eco - cruise or regular cruise control?  Is there some indication on the dash?

IMO, Eco cruise is okay but I couldn't live with the other conditions in EcoSelect just to get Eco Cruise.

I agree with you. I just hit the Eco Mode button if I am going to have cruise on for a while and then turn it off as I get off of the highway.

Diddo.

I haven't had a chance to test it must, but the little bit I have makes me believe the ECO select turns it on if ECO Cruz is off when ECO select is on.

Seems also ECO Cruz can be turned on by its self independently.

That is not true, please stop posting that.

I do not use Eco Mode and Eco Cruise works fine. The car slows down going up hill and speeds up down hill.

Repeat after me:

Eco Cruise and Eco Mode are separate.

SnowStorm repeats, "Eco cruise and Eco Mode are separate", and feels better now! :)

Is our world getting too complex for our own good?  Forum folks can't agree, the manual is likely wrong, and the guys that wrote all the code have moved on to programming the Model E and have forgotten how it works!  (I suppose you've all seen the tire swing cartoon.)  At least the car is still fun to drive!

Exactly how do you get to Eco Cruise in the "left" menu? I don't see it on my display.

Look on page 98 of the manual http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/Catalog/owner_information/2016-C-Max-Hybrid-Energi-Owners-Manual-version-1_om_EN-US_08_2015.pdf

It's under Driver Assist
