Telerisk
2016 Ford C-Max SEL......So what's this all about? In settings you can select the clock to the GPS Time. When you do that you get a warning that the GPS Time will not adjust to Daylight Savings Time...... Heck, my $90.00 Garmin GPS adjusts its time not only to the time Zone you are traveling in, but also the local time of that area to include when Daylight Savings times starts, ends..... When I called Ford about this they said, ready for this, the Clock will not be correct during Daylight Savings times periods because to do so would cause issues for the 2 States that do not observe Day Light Savings Time. Ford play-cakes 2 states out of....50? So year round in 2 states the clock will be correct and in the other 48 States the Clock will be wrong during Daylight Savings Times unless the Owner manually changes the time. Wow...... 2016....most clocks now will adjust themselves to Daylight Savings times....its either programmed into the clock workings, or the clock syncs to a Satellite clock but not in Ford Vehicles. AZgman
Well, I live in one of the states that do not adjust for DST. I'm used to it, so as far as I am concerned Ford should play nice with the other 48 states! Of course, as a retired IT professional, really, how hard is it to make DST adjustment an option that can be turned on or off? It is 2017... right? ptjones
It only takes me 30 seconds at most to change time. :) It would be nice if it did it automatically, but not worth complaining about. :) Paul plus 3 golfer and Bill-N
nsteblay
Ford should use NTP to adjust the time when connected to Wifi or the phone. That way it would adjust itself regularly and be accurate to the area your in. ptjones
