sczulu
After spending 9 months searching for a high mpg car, we ordered a C-Max SE about a month ago. I've read about the C-Max and wanted to see it before myself before making a purchase. Test drove the Prius C (felt really light in the power depratment), The regular Prius (nice), and the Kia Optima Hybrid (clunky, loud, no thanks). Waited for the C-Max to finalyy arrive at the Ford dealership. Loved it. Solid, quiet, POWER. Now we wait... I kind of feeel good about buying an American made car, (although the last 3 vehicles Iv'e had, all Subarus were built in Indiana). My first car was a Ford Bronco (rolled it), then I burned thru a couple Escorts. I'm the more wiser these days, hopefull this is going to be a great car owning experience! RachelnLa
Congrats. I ordered my first hybrid an first Ford ever two weeks ago. Now I wait happily for my new baby. I was ready to downsize and really wanted the Nissan Leaf. It just won't work with my lifestyle. My dad was ready for a new vehicle and the dual quest began. We had a lot of fun researching, test driving and ordering new cars. It's made sweet memories for the both of us. :). Mine is the ice storm and he chose the ingot silver. Wecome to the club, I too own a Subaru Outback. Test drove the new Subaru Impreza hatch but it didn't have the power or features we wanted. Are you keeping the Outback? Hello and welcome. Good choice with the Energi. Did you check out the video I posted with Energi details?
sczulu
Yes, keeping the Outback as our canyon/ski car (I'm in Salt Lake City). Also a great car for my teenage daughter to learn to drive (and safely wreck) in.
valkraider
Same for me. First Ford in 20 years, first Hybrid ever. Our last ford was a horrendous Pos. Here's to hoping they have improved!
SThompson
My husband is a die hard Ford fan. I have always been very frugal in regards to car purchases and have had great success in buying slightly used vehicles and driving them forever. The last being a 98 park avenue I drove for 12 years. So when I decided I was going to buy a new car he really wanted me to go with a ford product. That was not on my short list, I was thinking Rav 4 or Hyundai Santa Fe, and then I saw a C-Max at church, it had a FORD emblem on it, interesting. So I began my investigation and narrowed it down to the C-Max se model for the following reasons. 1.) Great design, the car is well thought out. What I need, where I need it and none of what I don't.2.) I wanted something easy to park and kind of fun to drive for a change, I got that with the C-Max.3.) Comfort and functionality come first to me, the exceptional mileage is a bonus, as is pleasing hubby by buying FORD. All of my shopping and decision making was done online. Car was located and purchased through the internet. When we went to pick it up the salesman asked if we wanted to take it for a drive, my Husband said, "it's a ford isn't it? So straight to the paper signing we went. ScubaDadMiami
dlapean
Yea,........I'm 55 and never owned a Ford before, than 2 years ago I bought a very nice used 2001 Ford Ranger XLT,..no rust at all. So when my Toyota Celica was 13 years old, I thought, Let's see what Ford has and see if their into Hybrid's. Well, long story short, I bought my C-Max SE last year and now have 2 Fords.
