RMS13
In using my new CMax I notice when turned off the lifetime readings on the left screen do not appear, just the current trip readings. Is there anyway I can view the lifetime readings?
obob
on the 2013 there are only 2 trip meters. I think you have more than that and perhaps you can use one of those as a lifetime or longtime. I kind of recall reading lifetime is gone-zo http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/4170-why-im-glad-they-got-rid-of-the-lifetime-mpg/
ptjones
2013 only have Life Time on Smart Gauge when you shut off the car. You can use your second trip gauge for life time by keeping track of when it rolls over at 10K mi. Paul
RMS13
I thought I remember someone had the lifetime screen disappear when they had a software update done. I'll just have to use the Trip 2 as the lifetime minus the first couple of fill ups as I have already reset it once. I usually reset trip 1 at every fill-up and use trip 2 for overall trips. ptjones
obob
I figure the lifetime mileage can be nice, but it can also be naughty if your mileage isn't that great. It can make the C-Max look bad. It also might have been a source of complaints like when the early updaters of the software updates had theirs reset. So Ford nixed it. I have a trip meter with like 52.5 mpg on something like 18000 miles. My lifetime is something like 47.7 mpg. My mpg greatly increased when I started to use neutral to coast. So I kind of use the trip meter as my lifetime which feels better than the actual lifetime which I could reset but don't. I will also add that being in just a little rush can really knock the mileage down. ptjones
fbov
In using my new CMax I notice when turned off the lifetime readings on the left screen do not appear, just the current trip readings. Is there anyway I can view the lifetime readings?"New?" How new? A new-to-you 2013 or something more recent? On my '13, the "lifetime" data is shown when turning off, but after "recent trip" data. Either is available using up/down arrows on the left., until the dash blanks. Of course, this is "lifetime since 13B07 PCM update" since that update erased data for the first 11,152 miles. Cie la vie. Have fun,Frank
ptjones
That's funny but it didn't on mine. :headscratch: Paul
obob
I think it would be a good idea when referring to lifetime mileage to add something like "for owners of a 2013 C-Max" for otherwise it is kind of implied that it is on there somewhere that is accessible. fbov
Paul, what "didn't" on yours? obob, the odometer didn't change with the PCM update, only the miles/EV miles/Regen displays reset. I also reset Trip 2 at that time, and haven't touched it since. Have fun,Frank obob
ptjones
My EV, Regen didn't change when I got the up date. :headscratch: Paul

SnowStorm
You can also use the Avg MPG display (big number in the middle of the screen) for another average. (Reset by holding down the OK button.) I reset mine on the car's birthday at end of April to give a yearly average. Presently at 52.9 mpg :) (but inching down  with colder weather.) ptjones
I haven't changed Trip 2 in quite awhile, 695gal. x 53.9mpg = 37,460mi. So it's been over a year. Life Time at 49.4mpg so the MPG's keep getting better. :) Paul obob
