mtb9153
This electrical issue has drained the battery so car is dead. Can't open the tailgate to try and recharge the startup battery Edited June 18, 2018 by mtb9153
ptjones
You need to open up the hood and on the right side are the posts to jump the battery. :) Paul kyledamron1
mtb9153
thanks so much Paul went so far as to get access to the battery with the backseat laid flat If I try hooking my charger to the battery, I see the positive post but the negative under the covering. mtb9153
You need to open up the hood and on the right side are the posts to jump the battery. :) Paul Paul, I got my battery charger hooked up to the positive post under the hood and the negative to the grounding stud. Turned on the charger and it immediately showed a full 8 amp charge. So well see after it charges a bit, but already there is enough energy to open and close the tailgate so thats a good sign. kyledamron1 and ptjones
cr08
The original drain issue you had simply sounds like the radio. The prox sensors not beeping, radio coming on while the car is off, bluetooth, etc.. Pull fuse 76 (at least as I last recall, someone can easily correct me on that) for a few minutes and reinstall. Simple fix. Louder North, obob and fbov
plus 3 golfer
My guess is you need a new battery. If it's the original, nearly 6 years is a long time on the original battery. ptjones
Louder North
My guess is you need a new battery. If it's the original, nearly 6 years is a long time on the original battery. We had the same issue as mtb9153 but with a new battery - just do the fuse pull and reboot the system. That solved our problem. ptjones
