cmaxmania
Hi everyone I bought a new 2017 C-Max Energi. I was able to average 50 mpg on the car's computer before plugging it in. This was driving relatively conservatively. Since I have been plugging in I am showing high 80s. I am also averaging about 30 miles per charge. I have put about 350 miles on it and I still have about 3/4 tank. I am happy with the mileage in just hybrid mode. I probably would have been happy with 45. I haven't done any extended highway driving yet so I am hoping I can get over 40 doing that. jmcgliss
NRGTi
Congratulations and welcome! you posted this on the one-year anniversary of my purchase. MPG figures are a complicated concept with these cars. More than others, how you drive determines what you get. I've met a C-Max owner who claims 200 mpg, but he only uses it for those under-20 mile short trips, on EV. I'm using mine for everything, with a couple hundred highway miles every week, so I'm settling for 66 mpg/ That's twice what I could achieve on my best day with my past car, and very satisfactory. ptjones
markd
It takes about 5,000 miles to really get used to the car and to break it in. Welcome BTW.
cmaxmania
I had rented a fusion hybrid for a week. That is what convinced me to look into the C-Max. I did a strictly hybrid trip in the rain on the highway and got about 39 mpg. I was doing about 70 mph. I am thinking it dropped a lot due to rolling resistance. Another trip I did mostly highway I got close to 45. ptjones

Welcome BTW. 5000 ICE miles, presumably; if you're driving 90% electric mode, that could take a while!
