Chrono
Hi,My turning signal started to blink too fast and I realized a bulb in the front turning signal light wasn't working. It is a double filament bulb, so it works ok when I just open a door. I'm going to replace it. I got a Sylbania bulb in Auto Zone, which should fit my 2014 Ford C-Max Energi SEL car according to their website. It's similar to this bulb but the lamp is clear instead of amber color. But I don't really know if I can install a clear light bulb. Did I make a mistake and should get an amber one, or clear is fine too?
ptjones
I replaced mine with sylvania 3457A which is amber. :) It can be a challenge to remove headlight assembly. Paul
jestevens
I was able to change my (amber) bulb without taking the assembly fully out since I was having a hard time removing the wiring harness, you still have to do all of the steps anyway to at least pivot the assembly a little. I was surprised just how much the car both flexes and doesn't flex. Be careful of the stupid push pin retaining clips near the front, easy to bust if you aren't patient..I don't have the right tool so I use small screwdriver and "help" them by reaching around to the other side of the top radiator cover. ..auto supply store has them. It sounds funny and maybe a little unnerving when you start peeling up the adhesive for seal on the HVAC cowl. ptjones
notquitesane
Don't use the clear bulb, get an amber one. If you install a clear bulb, the turn signal will flash white instead of amber. ptjones, Chrono and kyledamron1
