kyledamron1
So, wanted to make sure this was noticed. Taking car into the shop tomorrow and want to see what everyone else things. I was looking around but I couldn't see much.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-G6yg-TwkU

kyledamron1
The clunking & knocking.
icanhazc-max
Sounds akin to mine. I chocked it up to the normal operating noises of the atkinson cycle engine, especially on start up. Wonder if anyone DOESN'T have the same noises as ours seem to have...
kyledamron1
Well, they diagnosed it as a bad mount on the back. I only knew of one of the mounts, but I guess it makes sense to have more! $290 for parts and labor. ptjones and obob

icanhazc-max
Hmm... may find a reliable shop and have mine checked as well. Make sense that the mounts would go one-after-another as torsional stress would increases on those remaining intact.

kyledamron1
They said the top/rear motor mount. Not sure where it is. I asked for a part number and they haven't got back to me yet. When I figure it out I'll let you all know.
kyledamron1
Looked at the service documents. Top Front Engine Mount. Ford Parts says FV6Z-6038-D .
C-MaxA2
I have a Ford Focus Wagon (2004) and a C-Max (2016) and the engine mounts are a well known Focus issue. I think I had new mounts (2) at about 72.000 miles and that noise ceased. I'm seeing a lot of the same problems in the two cars: engine mounts and the throttle body issue (locks up and gets carboned up). Kinda wish Ford had taken care of them in the intervening 12 years between these cars. It does help in diagnosing something; think about the sound, etc. and think back to the Focus! kyledamron1
kyledamron1
Thanks! Now that I think about it. I had a similar (although not as bad) noise on my 2011 Focus. And my partner's 06 Focus also has a bad motor mount. Strange how those things work eh? lol
