ForScan Lite Service and Test Functions Available

Recently, ForScan added Service and Test Functions to the ForScan Apps available for Smartphones.  One can now run self tests on modules, reset modules, and perform many service functions like Battery Monitoring (Age) Reset.  See attached screen captures.

 

Perhaps the APIM reset function (instead of pulling fuse) will clear the radio hangup issue and future dead battery.

 

How can one be without ForScan now. :wub2:

I have bought forscan, I figured it was worth the cost just to be able to monitor tire pressure. But what other PID should I be tracking regularly?

I usually watch in addition to tire pressure,12V battery SOC, Voltage, and charging current into battery, HVB SOC and current, various coolant and component temperatures especially when it’s 110+F in AZ or if using grille covers in winter to increase engine operating temp, speed, and other PIDs that might help in after the fact analysis and explanation of how systems might work for example: questions on how much the AC use affects Fuel economy or how do the grille shutters operate, and so forth

Thank you for the reply. Do you know the names of the specific PIDs? When I was playing around with forscan some of the names are very similar to one another and I could not find an explanation of what they might do. For example, what exactly is the difference between hybrid battery SOC and hybrid battery state of charge "displayed" and why would they be different?

See the link for the displayed SOC. There’s no all inclusive list of PIDs that I have found. I’ll post sum stuff I’ve found.
