RustyMacIntosh
2015 CMax Hybrid I bought at auction a few weeks back. Nice ride. Price was right. It's a once upon a time rental---it has the MyKey enabled. I cannot figure out how UNABLE IT. I have two fobs. I go into settings on the display to the left of the cluster, then pick MYKEY. It says. 0 Mykey 2 Admin keys I cannot figure out a way to shut off the Mykey. It has me at 75mph. 40% volume on the radio and other annoyances. Any ideas? I followed the instructions online and also in my manual. The display says 0 MyKey. But when you fire it up, it says on the left display that MyKey is enabled. bookemdano
Might suck to have to pay but I'm sure your local Ford dealer can reset the system.
RustyMacIntosh
Would a higher end SNAPON Scanner reset everything?
bookemdano
I have no idea, but everything I have read (and I looked into this a few months ago because I wanted to buy a third key and add it) was that you pretty much have to take the car to the dealer for any operations involving adding/removing/changing keys. That said, I don't know anything about the situation with C-Max cars equipped with the normal key ignition. Mine has the pushbutton start, which is a different beast. The 2012-era Ford Focus makes up much of the underpinnings of all 6 model years of the C-Max, so maybe search around for info about the Focus too--likely it will pertain to your C-Max. FORScan with extended license has PATS programming function. I got the 2 month free trial, extended license about a year ago. I’ll see if I can still use it and look at the PATS function. A one year extended license is only $10. https://forscan.org/download.html I was able to download the free trial version with extended license again to our new Surface Pro. In the Body Control Module there is a PATS programming function which will allow one to reset / erase all keys and then reprogram as Admin keys. I, however, did not try the procedure. But, it looks like the same as in the Service Manual. Edited March 11, 2020 by Plus 3 Golfer
Striker
This is a longshot since it was so long ago, but were you ever able to resolve this issue? My car is having the same issue.
Hfly1
I just bought a 2016 C-Max Energi and see there are controls for MyKey at myfordmobile.com and in the myfordmobile app. I wonder if you can fix your problem using those.
