I was so excited when they showed me this at the dealership yesterday....................until I read that it doesn't apply to SYNC with MFT.

But it exactly addresses the concerns most of us non-MFT people (SE drivers) are having. Maybe pin it?

Has anyone else had problems at the dealership downloading and installing this upgrade? My CMax has been in for a week (for a 24-minute process) and the dealer still can't get the file downloaded. Never mind installed.

Dealer software updates can be VERY problematical.  Read through the threads in this forum and you will learn about the problems dealers have.

YEP some dealers are maybe a little too HIGH tech.

 

Wifi = not ready for prim time!

had this done at the dealer yesterday--Manhattan Ford in NYC. they did indeed have some trouble tnstalling, but they prevailed. it seems to have alleviated the problem. brought it to them because sync stopped using the phonebook and would just dial "dot com". didn't believe there would be a fix but thought I'd give it a shot. I can again make a call using the paddle. yay! it does, however, seem slow to respond. but for those basic sync users with issues, I'd recommend showing this to yr dealer. our dealer knew nothing of it before they dealt with my problem. I'm so glad they persevered.

I've had all the issues described in this TSB and just lived with them. Next time I'm in to the dealer I'm asking to have it done. Thanks for the post!
