  1. I just mounted my 16" winter tires and wheels on the C-max.  I didn't want to spend the extra money for the TPMS sensors and figured that we would deal with the warning light staying on for a few months.  Oddly enough, the light is not on!  I am not complaining!  When you start the car it does a system check and the light goes out just like it always did...

  2. My wife just took two 100 mile round trips in cold weather and very hilly terrain with her and my 2 daughters in the car. This was on 2-lane and 4-lane roads with speed limits varying from 55-65 MPH. There were also a few small towns along the route that had stop lights and stop signs. She averaged just under 40 MPG and the car has less than 500 miles on it. Under these consditions and the fact the car isn't broken in yet, I would consider this milage acceptable.

  3. I just ordered a set of X-Ice 215/55/16 and 16x7.5" wheels from Discount tire direct. They are having $100 off black Friday deals. Total price delivered was $909. (I didn't order the TPMS sensors and will just deal with the light being on for 3 months out of the year)

  4. Thanks! I thought they would fit! Now I am wonderinging if it is worth the extra money for TPS monitors. I am not sure if the monitors would require constant attention or just once during startup.. Most vehicles require once but a constant dinging would be annoying.... whereas a light on the dash would be acceptable.

  5. I really would like to know if a 16" wheel will fit this car. I think it will but I was hoping someone has read somewhere that it definitly will fit. I want to buy some winter tires and wheels and it will save me at least $100 if I can go down to a 16"

  6. I agree! We just took a 20 mile round trip to dinner and averaged 45+ MPG. I think this car (like any car) is not efficient until the gas engine is warm. 1,2 or 5 mile trips won't get the advertised milage unless the car is already warmed up. Obviously the gas engine is needed for extra power and heat and charging, and once that motor is warm you will enjoy great MPG's. My wifes 3/4 mile commute four times a day will kill our overall MPG's.

  7. My wife just bought a 2013 Cmax SEL with the 302A pkg and sunroof (waste of money) thing. It is the pearl white (titanium?). with only about 150 miles on it we are getting around 40 mpg.
