Hi RachelinLa, I am glad to hear Rainette is back home where she belongs. I just chatted with JusACMax and he told me what to do to get Forita in the profile box. Here she is sleeping in the garage, till its time for our next trip. She now has 11,000 miles but still looks like the day I brought her off the showroom on a cool Feb morning.

Hey PapaJ, Going across the causeway coming out of New Orleans, Forita hit the 47 mpg after getting the last update last month.I am so proud of her. Cannot wait to take her to FL. this Thanksgiving. Thanks for starting this thread about the good things our C Max does.

Lowering the value of our cars is not also.

I thought this forum was created for C Max owners to share the things we like about our C Max and discuss . But lately I see how to go about doing lemons laws, buy backs etc. Yes you will get your money back but what about else that still have C Max and are beginning to lose value on our cars because of the constant negative reports.

I agree it's been a good car, with 11, 000 miles and only been to shop for updates and once to check A/C to make sure everything was ok. As stated in another thread Forita has been in the garage for weeks at at time with no problems of starting. All these negative threads about the C Max are hurting our values. I check on car complaint the other night and this forum was mention as where they were getting the complaints. Again I have reg SE with stock radio and nav, no power seats etc. and turn everything off when I leave car just like all my other autos.

Hi Guys , seems to me it's the Sony Premium Radio that giving all these problems, most likely also causing the battery problems too. I brought my car in Feb of this year , reg SE model with the reg stock radio and nav. I have been out of town at weeks at a time with Forita in the garage and when I get home it starts . I have always with all my vechiles before I get out is turn radio and air conditioner off. My chev pick up radio would stay on till you open door like this car and I would turn it off before. I do use the USB , but always take my flash drive out, other than that I do not really plug any thing into it like phones etc.. Just my 2 cents after reading about these problems. I do not post often, really hate typing.

Thanks Wab, that is why our townhouse air conditioner is so loud too, it's a goodman. We move in this year and I told wife it sounds like the Forita our CMax.

Hi RachelinLa, Been awhile since could post, been in TX enjoying my new granddaughter Emily. We flew there because of daughter going into labor so quick. I am glad they are finally coming around on your car. Mines been in garage at home for almost a month , but did come with her name Forita something like Ford and Rita put together. When we got home Fex Ex envelope just laying by front door, we are not sure how long it was there, but inside was the check. Enjoy your car when you get it back. We are taking Forita to Fl Thanksgiving.

Received my check yesterday, New Orleans area. Fed Ex left it by front door. Used it to purchase the extended warranty.

This is off subject, but do not see it on the forum anymore. I saw some had received their rebate check. I have not and brought my car in Feb. Did you call Ford? To get your rebate check thanks.

Hi RachelnLa Sounds great, Hope they got your car fixed. I got another letter from Ford telling me have to bring it in for another update.

Hi RachelnLa, Just getting back to you, could not found the thread lol. But I am across the lake from New Orleans, close enough to go into city but far enough to get away from all the city traffic. I am not in Facebook . Wow that's def a good commercial for CMax you ,dad ,your friend and another all own the same car. I have to agree it is a great car, Take care and hope your car problem has been resolved.

Hi rachelnLa, I saw you were also from Louisiana and was wondering if it was the dealer by my home. I am from the northshore area and also brought a C Max in Feb. But so far thank God no serious problems with it having 10,000 miles now( except for having some trouble updating which took 2 days) I also asked for a loaner and was told about the same thing, but at the end they rented me one form Enterprise because I had to be in Baton Rouge that day. So hang in there but hold your ground with them, because you are right it is a new car that was brought from them.

Hi just read your notes on the DRL, I use to have that on my Chevy pickup and it was def a life saver, Can we have that install on our CMax by the dealer ?

Cassidy this is the first hybrid I have ever owned , I think I could get better mileage too, but I used to drive a 2006 Chevy pickup. Do you get your oil change at 5000 miles too?I was always told oil changes were a lot cheaper than a new motor. I did have one wired problem with the A/ C it was cold but quit blowing , I went down to low and still the same, so I turned it off for awhile and when I turned it back on it worked. Brought the car to dealer they looked at it and could not find problem, they said might have been some glitch that fixed itself, but other than that it is a great car, but do miss my Chevy pickup, but not the gas mileage.

Thanks scuba dad for the info. I am old school and will continue changing the oil at around 5000 mike mark. Also what is MTF and FE updates. I thought I had all the updates done, I know they done an update to the sync and the power control module, but that is the only letters I have received so far from ford. What is this I been hearing about Ford sending us money , something like $550. Do I need to contact them or my dealer?

Hi all got my C Max in Feb 2013, now have 10,000 miles on it got my first oil change at 5200 miles, but saw in owners Manuel to wait and change the oil at 10 ,000 miles. My question to the forums , do you think that is too long to change oil? After my PCM update I get 44 mpg. Another question is should I reset the lifetime summary after each fill up? Thanks
