I like the solid feel of the C-Max
-
Once I get my Nav system going, I'll feel better about the car. But yeah, the Prius never appealed to me much.
-
Well, two out of three ain't bad. I can't drive 55, 65. At least on a long trip on the open road. Hey, I just realized that's TWO song titles

Yeah the thing doesn't like to go fast economically. Kinda disappointing.
-
Same problem here.. Give'em heck and report back!

With what you know, would you buy your C Max today (again)

I would say definitely - NO. The car's Navigation system is a total bust, and a major failure. The software otherwise is buggy and slow. As for the car itself, I like the ride, etc. I would have given that a yes, except that the mpg at expressway speeds is a major disappointment compared to my Camry Hybrid which could get 40mpg at 80mph. My X-way trips in the Energi are getting little over 30 mpg. I do think that will improve as the weather warms up (I hope). Having said all that, I may consider trading up to the Fusion Energi but I learned a hard lesson as an early adopter and will wait to see what other user's experience is for that car. Sad to say, this has not been a happy experience for me switching back to buying a new car from an American car company. -
I feel your pain. The TSB fix for the Nav did not work. The system said I already had the latest software . Makes no sense to me. Dealer said: "I will be bringing your vehicle back around 1:00 PM the program was a no go you already have the most advanced system . we are currently in a holding pattern with the Ford Hotline For further instruction it may be 24 to 48 hours." That was Thursday. No other word yet. Let me know if your dealer can remedy the Nav problem with that TSB (13-3-11), ok?

Ok, thanks

Is this to allow faster 240v charging?

Nav GPS TSB 13-3-11 - Fix for unable to locate vehicle, etc There is a Technical Service Bulletin that came out today for those of us whose Nav systems are having a hard time tracking where the vehicle is. Typically your car is shown as off the road or on the next block over, etc. This fix applies to cars built on 1/15/2013 and before. It involves a recalibration, apparently. I'm taking my car in tomorrow. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks to use ceemax71 for finding this

I'm going to post a new thread on this. Some folks will really appreciate it.

Ok, I gave my dealer a heads up, and they found it. Thanks for the info! I'm taking my car in tomorrow morning. I hope this resolves that issue. The only thing reminaing then would be I have the A3 map and firmware 2.15.17 - Would like that to be upgraded to A4/3.5.1, and NOT have to pay for it.
-
Would you have a link to that?
-
Would you buy the CMax if the advertised MPG was below 47/47?

I'm reserving judgement on the car mpg-wise until we start getting consistently warmer weather. However, so far I am disappointed with the highway mpg. Just one trip for a couple of hundred miles, and I have to make multiple plug-in trips to work to slowly get back to the 47 mpg combined target. -
I've posted in many places about how the NAv system is an unmitigated failure, and how it taints the whole Ford experience after having a Camry Hybrid for 7 years. The mfg date on my Energi is 1/7/2013, the firmware is 2.15.17 and the map version is A3
-
If they are using my Nav system to track me, they'll never find me. It's consistently off by 1/10 mile, as much as 1/2 mile.
-
This is what I get on my C-Max Energi, except it was so far off once, the interstate was off the screen. Almost 1/2 mile out of whack, I think. Anyone hear anything yet about updates?

I've had Ford Rangers relatively recently (5+ years ago), now I'm dropping my Totota Hybrid for a C-Max Energi.
