  1. Since everyone has them on their cars on this forum. Why not post it on another Ford forum that didn't come with them?
  2. You're not helping your case, if you use a booster battery everywhere you go. Unless you're going to live with it until you sell the car. Either keep contacting Ford about needing a jump/tow so they can possibly fix it, or check your state about your rights as far as it being a lemon.
  3. What model do you have SE or SEL? With or without navigation? Wish someone start a thread of what models and options that are giving them the dead battery, parasitic amp draw problem?
  4. Once you find the circuit drawing current, install a relay so it'll completely kills it when you turn off the car.
  5. Even if one could run the current draw tests during the time the battery is discharging (highly unlikely), what is one going to do? I would think weather you use a clamp on amp meter, or a plug in the cigarette lighter voltmeter in using that method. Once you locate the circuit that's draining your battery. Install a relay to shut down that circuit when removing the car keys, similar to shutting off the cars cooling fans for the radiator. https://www.google.com/search?q=relay+harness+circuit+for+cars&rlz=1C1ASUT_enUS617US617&espv=2&biw=1093&bih=514&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=_ehuVc6IHcK1ggSVrICgCA&ved=0CEAQsAQ&dpr=1.25#tbm=isch&tbs=rimg%3ACY6UsfE9CSzCIjilNJGfkH4rxfn0S1eQAYm_1QVDhIZadZg4EwYXE-dNUlg83fa0rcYeiksYkJHzauDrLLGBu5WGqwioSCaU0kZ-QfivFEZNE5NS7CYeBKhIJ-fRLV5ABib8RQHizgjom06YqEglBUOEhlp1mDhH99eUsImJtsSoSCQTBhcT501SWEZLvUeEp10e8KhIJDzd9rStxh6IR_1ZaQdsMfqxQqEgmSxiQkfNq4OhGTROTUuwmHgSoSCcssYG7lYarCEWNDItgKTwEE&q=relay%20harness%20circuit%20for%20cars&imgrc=4pzi-xJg_Z_umM%253A%3BVIbt0f8AqVnuDM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.vikiwi.com%252Fwp-content%252Fuploads%252F115372d1289469670-electric-fans-relay-wiring-untitled.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fhdimagelib.com%252Felectric%252Bfan%252Bdiagram%3B778%3B580
  6. On top of checking current recalls out this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KF1gijj03_0
  7. I've been looking at the Ford c max for quite a while. From what I see seems to be mostly people who own the SE models that are having issues. With that said there's a lot of used/lease cars now coming on the market. Very easy to pull up the history on the car to see if there's any history of problems with it. I would lean towards purchasing a recently lease SEL model, since the depreciation is so great the first few years.
  8. It sounds like a great deal, if it's done right and they don't try to sabotage your car! There's been times of oil plugs stripped, over torque/stripped/broken bolts on the wheels causing warped rims & rotors. Something so simple, if you have the correct tools it can be a piece of cake. Plus the satisfaction of doing it right, cheaper, and in less time!
  9. LOL! What's going to happen when the car manufacturers go with driverless cars?
  10. There's a couple of recent Ford software up dates, check it out with your vin number. https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/maintenance/recalls/results.html
  11. This same topic is explained by someone here on that subject. http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/1728-explain-ice-high-mode/
  12. https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/maintenance/recalls/results.html
  13. Sounds like they could have physically swapped out the ECM in less time. Than trying to upgrade just the software!
  14. I would think that if you narrow it down to a circuit that's draining the battery like radio/navigation system. You could install a relay in series to the circuit to completely kill it so it wouldn't drain the battery down. http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/5091-customer-satisfaction-program-15b04/
  15. Check and see if the door switch is sticking. Also check your Fords vin number, if their's been a recall/up date on your car. https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/maintenance/recalls/results.html
  16. Unless you have a certain issue with the car and you take it into the dealer. You're not going to see all of the manufacturer software upgrades. Now with that said if there's a safety issue like the air bag and the pieces coming apart in your face. Then they're required to contact you and replace the defective part. I would suggest going in and visit your friendly Ford service advisor to address your concerns. At least it'll give them a chance to update their database as of who's the current owner. http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/owners/SearchSafetyIssues
  17. I don't own a Ford C Max yet, just curious have they finally come up with a fix for the dead battery issue? I would think if it came down a circuit like the instrument panel or ECU.
