  1. I remember years ago had a Chrysler mini van. Had a vibration took it in 6 to 7 different times, same mechanic kept looking at it. Could't figure out what was wrong. Turn out it was the mechanic! Took it to a Dodge dealer first time. Found out struts were bad, also had cupped the tires so I had to get a new pair. Do suggest to try another Dealership, at least it's still under warranty.
  2. It's difficult for a mechanic to tie down the problem when checking the car there at the garage. Can you imagine trying to figure out the problem on this forum? Does it do it at any speed, turning, stopping, how about accelerating? You say it's coming from one side left side. So that's the driver side of car. My two guesses, possible caliper stuck or semi stuck, check slider pins make sure they slide freely and nothing is jamming the pads. The other is the wheel bearings allot of people have had problems with them. Look on the bright side it sounds like it's getting worst drive it until it breaks. Just make sure you have a cell phone and a tow trucks phone number! Let us know what happen. :)
  3. My opinion, it's a cheap car. Their's allot of Hispanics and people on fixed incomes in Florida. Then again people are looking on Google for information, not sure if their purchasing one.
  4. Found this of people Googling of car brand, countries and state by state search. http://www.tflcar.com/2015/08/car-company-gets-googled-united-states-infographic/
  5. Saw this article about a new type of 12 volt car battery. That'll last twice as long as a standard regular 12 volt car battery and weights only 6 lbs! https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/ohm-a-smarter-car-battery#/story
  6. They have their polices as what corporate office tells them to do. I'm guessing they tried that years ago, got some damaged or scratched up parts. When you think about it, their making them at a fraction of the cost!. I think if you contacted them about getting a used instrument cluster would they install it and then replace it when the new one comes in? Wouldn't hurt to ask, if you're that much of a hurry.

  8. In the car industry Dealership Service Dept are know as, Revenue Departments!
  9. It's sad you put your trust in a business and they take advantage of your ignorance/age. Maybe they think twice if you shot a letter to Honda about how she was treated. I assume their's maybe a local garage highly recommended to have the car taken care of, without draining her savings account. https://www.vsb.org/site/publications/senior-citizens-handbook
  10. Does the updated Ford - 12 VOLT BATTERY TEST AND MODULE SOFTWARE UPDATE 15B04 seem to have fixed the 12 volt parasite battery drain?
  11. Should their be a new forum of FSA Title: 12 VOLT BATTERY TEST AND MODULE SOFTWARE UPDATE Field Service Action Number: 15B04? Would be interesting if this is the FIX to the 12 volt battery drain. With detail information of informing everyone know what year, model, and options they have on their car.
  12. Do you have an article on this about needing to relearn your driving style & behavior? The PCM makes sure your engine is running at it's most efficient for emissions, and electric motor operation. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powertrain_control_module
  13. I'm surprised no one, even on other forums don't question the gasoline quality. From different times of the year summer/winter blend to percentage of ethanol. That's not counting are you actuality getting a full gallon 100% from the pump instead of maybe 97%?
  14. Did you try giving it some cheese? LOL! Honestly not sure how many miles you have on your car, do suggest a transmission fluid change.
  15. 12 volt battery drain

  16. Their's over 10,000 moving parts in a car. Years ago it was the norm to take a new car in 2 to 3 times to get all the bugs worked out.
  17. $5.40 on ebay! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cabin-Air-Filter-Cover-MOTORCRAFT-YH-1805-fits-12-15-Ford-Focus-2-0L-L4-/161713541255?fits=Make%3AFord%7CModel%3AC-Max&hash=item25a6e0d087&vxp=mtr
  18. Have you requested to set up an appointment with a district/regional manager to address this rattle?
  19. A rattle as you've found out, is often very hard to track down and does take some detective work. My Subaru Crosstrek developed one under the dash. I too took it in twice and they couldn't reproduce it. So I kind of played with it as I drove, pressing on the dash to see if I could stop it. I realized it would only happened when the temperature was below 75 degrees. At that temperature, I could push on the driver's side dash and reproduce the rattle. Other suggestions would be to get some strips of rags, or foam packing material and shove it in the cavity of the area that's rattling. Once you've narrow it down you can have the them make a more permanent fix, like sticking a rag or foam packing in place. :)
  20. Agree with you about color choices. To me it's the right size, and easy to get in/out of good gas mileage. Yellow or orange be nice so I can find it in the parking lot! You could maybe wrap it in your favorite color. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_H1oM3OS1sM
  21. I look at different sites as far as purchasing a used Ford C-Max. What surprises me is just about everyone of them has a recall and it's not just one or two. But 3 or 4 or more recalls, and it's even used ones from the FORD DEALERSHIPS! Is there a reason to this? http://miami.craigslist.org/brw/ctd/5069092735.html
  22. I remember when they made a major change on the Jeep Wrangler model they skipped a year 96. Went from 95 to 97 and started selling the 97s' in the middle of 1996. Maybe there's a lot of 2015 C-Max models left on the lots, and they want them to be gone before the new model rolls out.
  23. Has a anybody found what the parasitic drain was? Or is it low quantity relays not working correctly when they should?
