  1. I finally got off my ass and sent in my sales agreement to the mpginfo@ford.com address. Got my check in 7 days.
  2. Yahoo! After reading the hell you guys have been going through for months on this forum my thoughts were "Boy, I am glad this isn't happening to me". Well, I just went outside to go to work, and my car was dead as a doornail. Ended up working from home today and am charging a booster pack now to give it a jolt as it is in my garage and I can't get at it with cables. I really hope this isn't the start of something more...
  3. Ashley at Ford has been calling me weekly, but I have not been able to email in my info yet. Ball is in my court, but it is good to see her reach out to me when she promises a callback to me.
  4. I don't understand a single instance where I would actually WANT this to happen?
  5. Necro! I just had this happen last night. I must have bumped the keys in my pocket when doing dishes. I heard my car alarm going off so I just turned that off and didn't think anything of it. Go in the garage this morning and all my windows were down. It crushed the window shade for my infant on the back passenger side. Kinda disappointed. I guess I will have to be more careful next time? I guess?
  6. Got a call back from "Ashley" with Ford today. She just now realized that I bought the car used and was not the original owner. NOW she is asking me to send in my Sales Agreement and Registration to mpginfo@ford.com referencing my case number. I asked if this is something all used car owners were supposed to do from the start and she didn't really give me a straight answer...
  7. I think it is absolutely silly that they needed you to send that stuff....
  8. I hated the car I bought with Carmax probably 6 or 7 years ago. I also hated test driving cars there because they really do try to bully you into buying from them. They call their manager over and argue with me as to why I prefer not to buy a rental car (because people beat the shit out of them as long as you return the car without a scratch on the paint). He basically called me insane. Oh and no haggle pricing is great if they actually have decent prices compared to what you can haggle dealerships down to. Will never go there again.
  9. That's cool and all, but at the same time .5MPG gain doesn't exactly offset a 2+ MPG loss to over reporting. Unless you are saying you are comparing GPS mileage to actual fuel pumped (which is probably the most accurate test, right?) which ends up in an OVERALL .5MPG increase. Then that's cool!
  10. I haven't received mine yet either. I did get a followup call from a Service rep. They said they are putting a trace on the check. No news yet, however.
  11. This is a scary thread to necro. Now I have more data I have to collect to see if I am getting screwed or not :/
  12. Looks like I am not alone! I was actually on the phone with customer service asking where my money is. I mentioned that ETIS was acting weird and they didn't even know what ETIS is.
  13. Any idea why Ford ETIS would show my vehicle as being a 2014 Ford CMax Energi when I actually own a 2013 Ford CMax Hybrid SE? It never showed it this way before, but when I went back to check on recalls, it was there. It mentions the Energi in more than one location within ETIS for my VIN. Edit: I see other people complaining about this in the ETIS post. I am trying to figure out how to delete this thread... Edit2: I must be dumb...
  14. Wisconsin. Weather has been reasonable. Only time I have seen a drastic change with weather was when there was some flash flooding on my drive home. 3.5 Miles of 25-35mph to freeway 4.4 Miles of 65-70mph to offramp 4.1 Miles of 30-35mph to daycare 1.8 Miles of 30-35mph to major road 4.4 Miles of 45-55mph to another freeway 4.1 Miles of 65-70mph to offramp 3.0 Miles of 40-45mph to work Took those values from google maps. Adds up to 25.3 Miles which is pretty consistently what I have written down in my log. Return trip is reverse of same course. Total trip takes an hour each way. Weather has been surprisingly unwisconsinlike as we typically have massive swings from 60s to 100s every summer. Has been pretty consistent this year. I bought the car at 5000 miles and it is at 13000 now. My current average MPG is 43.7 and climbing.
  15. I started a log book for my 25 mile commute. Every morning and afternoon after turning the car off I would note down MPG, Miles driven, EV miles, Regen miles, brake score, and make a note about the trip such as heavy traffic, severe weather, whether I stopped for fast food, etc. This does not include short trips for lunches or weekend trips. This is driving the same 25 miles with only minor deviations when possible. I have quite a bit of data but putting that all in a meaningful chart can be difficult. Most of the low MPG trips have some sort of excuse associated with them. I have logged 6 weeks worth of data and popped it into a spreadsheet and I am starting to play around with graphing it. These are my mornings: These are my afternoons: My goal was to gather this data, and then make a modification such as a grill cover or gas pods to see if my average is affected. I used the trending feature in excel and it actually shows that my MPG is trending every so slightly downwards (probably because I am getting lazy). Anything I can do to turn that around would probably show up as a solid improvement in my graphs. Do you guys have any suggestions?
