I had the rear main seal leaking. The Ford dealer found it when doing an oil change. They did have to remove the engine to repair. Put 5,000 miles on writhing two months. Took it in for an oil change (I know this is low mileage for oil change but I am old and continue in my old ways) they found the leak again from the rear main seal. My dealer gave me full blue book retail and then sold me a new Cmax for 10,000 of sticker ... he really wanted to get rid of inventory that had sat for over a year. I was more than happy, it was Kendal Ford Eugene Oregon ... great company.

Ford extended the warranty I believe to 5 years. Memory not so hot so may be wrong but worth a look.

4 New Tires in under 8,000 miles :(
rjam replied to kyledamron1's topic in Brakes, Chassis, Park Assist & Suspension
At 4000 miles per set I don’t think brand would make a bit of difference. I would take it to another Ford dealership. No question there is a major problem. -

Do these blind the driver coming tward you? -
Hi Look in the owners manual to see the fuses controling the radio. My 2015 SEL has two. Pull the fuses then wait a few minutes and put them back in. Works for me every time.

Did Ford totally quit Sync 2 support?
rjam replied to Redshift's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
Had my entertainment system quit. Took out and reinserted the fuses. Worked for me but I decided while under warranty to get 3.10 installed. First trip in they could not get the update to complete after two attemps. Made another appointment. They said they would have to take it out yo repair it. Took it back and after 3 hours they got it to work. I am sure they didnt remove anything. Glad for this forum. How would you ever know there was an update so thanks. -
I had this happen yesterday. Maps would not work music norhing. Did three resets no help. Yurned the car off and let it sit. Still no help. Screen went black then all lit up but nothing worked. Was ready to pull the fuse. Restarted the car once more and everything works. Strange.

2013 C-Max SEL has turned out to be complete DUD.

There is a tsb concerning the air freezing up when the air has been on an hour or so. Just took it with a copy of the tsb I found on line that said the problem could not be duplicated but fix it. Then gave the steps. Had mine fixed. Works great now. The TSB is 14-0220. Sorry I dont have a copy. Good luck. -
TSB 15-0129, Cracked Leather Seat Cushion
rjam replied to Bill-N's topic in Maintenance, TSB's & Recalls
Hi My 2015 had creases that you knew were going to crack the dealer tried taking the seat cushion and adjusting the foam. This was done after sending photo to Ford. Did not fix the problem The dealer took photos again sent photos. Within a few minutes Ford agreed and sent a new seat cusion. Under warranty the car had about 18k and far less than 36 months.I do not have photo. Ford took great care in solving my problem. Also have a great dealer.- 23 replies

That's just wrong. Seems like use it to sell it then drop it. I do not use the service after the triql ended however I have thought maybe the price would drop not the service

Front sensors "beep" sometimes in light rain
rjam replied to JohnTrigger's topic in Brakes, Chassis, Park Assist & Suspension
I live in Oregon. Lots of rain. Happens fairly often. I clean the sensors off mainly the front bumpers. This fixes it tillmthe next time -
My experience driving steep mountain passes on the interstste with cruise on at the exact time the battery shows a full charge there is a very loud noise similsar to an engine at very high rpm. My understnding is this is normal. It will happen every time comming down steep grade with or without grade assisit but always with cruisevset.
