  1. I am very impressed with you guys that went through the lengthy process under the lemon law. My wife and I have decided to trade our 2013 cmax se in on a Prius. 10 visits (multiple problems on most visits) to the dealer in 20 months of ownership. We love the way the car rides and handles, but feel like we're being held hostage by our car. We are disgusted with all we've been through (fighting for a loaner car, taking 3 days to complete a repair that ford allots 2 hours for in their TSB) W e know we'll take a financial hit but we need something reliable. My wife likes the car so much , she wanted to trade it for a new one. I'm kinda of the mindset " first ford, last ford" . S he's on board with the Prius now. It's a shame because thecmax rides better, accelerates quicker and is quieter. After each repair, we would say,"this may be the last one." Now we have no faith that their will be a last repair.
  2. Own a 2013 cmax se. After 10 visits to the dealer in 20 months (most visits were for more than one problem, took the dealer 6 visits to properly fix our back latch) , my wife and I will be saying goodbye to our cmax. We love the ride and quietness of the car, but feel like we are being held hostage by our car. We are looking at a 2014 Prius v. Once we made the decision to get rid if the cmax, it was like a weight lifted off our chests. It has been such a discouraging process. I've read the discussion on lemon law in this forum and we may have a case, but we just want to be done with this. We will take a hit financially, but that's the price we are willing to pay to walk out in the morning and have a car that starts and operates as intended.
