Has this ever happened to you? Just this evening the window on my 2013.SEL Cmax jumped off track. It goes halfway up and then is stuck. How to fix? What parts do I need to order? Do I need to take apart the driver side door?

Anyplace online I might get the battery cheaper? Though given weight, may not be any savings with shipping. I got the car working again, but this incident made me think maybe I should replace the 12v just to be safe. The car is about four years old now, which is about the life of the 12v? And that might explain the slight sulphur smell that I get when I open the doors.

Still no luck. This is irritating, to say the least. I'm about to replace the 12bpv battery. Just remove cables and install anew?

I have a car battery charger and it is connected to the max battery. No progress it seems. I'm just curious for the future. Normally when a max is being jumped by another car, when connected many of the electronics also work? Will any old 12v battery do as a replacement?

I think I'm going to replace the battery. My car also has had this odd sulphuric smell since I got it, and I think that is because the battery might be weak. Anything specific?

Not sure how to measure the voltage. It seemed to be going good, but now the power seats don't work. At one point I went and saw that a light could be lit up. I'm thinking maybe one of the cabin lights is left on?

I wound up with a dead cmax battery. It is my fault. I had the fans blowing while in Park. I figured with the traction battery this thing shouldn't have dead battery problems. Guess not. Anyways, I've been charging my battery for like half an hour and no signs of progress. Interestingly, the power seats work. This is an SEL model with the push start. How long is this going to take?

I have the supplies needed to do an oil change. I have a sloping driveway and I'm thinking of doing the oil change on the driveway to better drain the oil. Does the plug point forward or backwards?

LIke the question asks. BTW, I'm pretty impressed with the efficiency of this car. Right now with good weather I'm getting like 47 MPG in my very hilly area. Typically my subaru gets at best 19MPG.

My C-Max SEL has a creak on the roof. I'm sure lots of you have had it. Basically the interior is loose. How to fix this? Glue? Get it closer? Or put a spacer so it isn't in contact?

My old car had this bad habit of dying. It would die if I listened to the radio with the engine off for ten minutes. Will a C-Max, by virtue of its hybrid design, suffer fewer dead batteries?

The new Prius has one of the worst car designs I've ever seen. That and the fact that there are new competitors (and low gas prices) means probably a big decline in Prius sales. The 3rd Gen Prius for its faults was a good looking car. This one just takes it too far.

When it comes time to replace the tires on my C-Max, I'm thinking about just getting normal cheap all-season tires. Good idea? These specialized high pressure tires for efficiency sake are interesting, but the ride is harsh. Also, I tend to carry heavy stuff in my car, so maybe a lower pressure tire can handle that better? I've heard reports that people who change tires from the HE ones suffer a 10% drop in fuel efficiency...which is a lot! But still.

My used CMax has a smell to it. I've thoroughly scrubbed it with Lysol and my own homemade vinegar-lemon cleaning solution. It still smells. In fact, it smells worse now. Maybe that's why the price was so low. There's also dog hair in the carpet which I can't get rid of. It smelled like too much shampoo. Now, after obsessively wiping it down, it smells a little bit more like dog. How do I get rid of this smell?

I just discovered today what the little button on the shifter does. Pretty nice when going down a long hill, of which there are a lot here in WV. It's like engine-braking on a stick shift, except you gain energy :) And you don't have to drive a stick which really sucks in stop and go traffic.
