Love the car, badly disappointed at the mileage, my driving is 95 percent highway @ 60 MPH on cruise control with ECCO turned on, car has 3450.6 miles on it, overall fuel economy is 34.600 MPG breaking recovery normally sits at 94. When I saw this on the dealers floor I was actually in looking at a Focus Titanium fully blown out and it cost about 4K less and I suspect I would be getting close to the same gas mileage on it. Traded in a 2010 Ford Escape Limited that I averaged 29.058 MPG, again not a large difference in MPG but a lot more cargo space.

Neither the moderator at syncmyride, nor the dealer could answer that question, I emailed ford and they told me they would find out and get back to me with in 3 business days

The SyncMyRide site shows 3.5.1 as being available but with no indications as to where it dies or does not apply to. It also states that those with Navigation should stop in for a new SD card and not manually update. I called my dealer and asked about it, they told me that they did have the SD card in and I could stop by. When I got there they said they have no information if it was for the C-Max or not, supposedly they are contacting ford to get more information, I also shot a email to the Ford customer service and to the moderator that runs the official sync site to see if there is any clarification

I do primarily highway, keep a spreadsheet of mileage, gas costs and mpg. Picked the C-Max up Oct 27th. My primary drive is highway on ECO cruise at 60 - 65 MPH For November by stats where 1,232.6 driven, 35.044 Gals, @ 35.173 For December 1,187.2 driven, 34.153 Gals @ 34.761

I gave up believing CR had a shred of accuracy when they rated some very expensive car seats, since I had just bought one about 6 months before the report came out, I believed it and got rid of it at a great loss, come to find out 3 months down the line their testing methods where invalid and the entire consumer reports article and recommendations where incorrect and the highway safety boards where more accurate - if they screwed something up like that then all their test methods and conclusions are questionable and not worth the powder and shot to blow them away

have the full system with NAV on mine, about every 7 to 10 days the system restarts when i start it for the first time, I get a black screen for about 5 minutes then the MS Sync logo comes up with a status bar saying that the system is performing scheduled maintenance. After the restart the settings are all still there. Anyone else seen this?

what did you expect - they smelled free easy cash because they had a bad year, they where only able to take 12 week long vacations on Monte Carlo this year. Interestingthough given the total number of c-maxes that are physically on the road the return will be great for the lawyers because the payouts to the low number of owners will be minuscule.

Curious as to what it would take to put it on a SEL w/ the navigation system already installed

Test drove one on 10/20, dealer had a SEL at his other location with everything that I wanted except for the color, it was the platinium white, I wanted the silver, took delivery on it 10/22
