  1. 16K Icar = 16,499.99 32K Icar = 17,499.99 64K Icar = 18,499.99 Fuel must be purchased via the Ifillup app that is loaded on the car, all service must be done at the Icar dealership
  2. the built in deviation for civilian GPS was removed about 5 years ago, the deviation now for a civilian GPS service (SPS) as compared to a military GPS service (PPS) is about 3 meters if the civilian gps is well built and calibrated correctly
  3. Petition for something that is critical and not working, and AppLink is definitely not a critical subsystem. I want a navigation system that does not put me in the middle of a river or tell me to turn left in the middle of a bridge, the systems have been calibrated according to the TSB and has have a couple of GPS modules replaced - still has me turning left in the middle of a bridge BTW a iphone will not interface with the message capability of sync since Apple in their infinite wisdom has decided not to utilize industry standards for SMS texting but to incorporate their own Imessage servers and Imessage application on the new version of the IOS. Prior to the release of the new version of the ios with Imessage the 3GS worked like a charm for this ability/
  4. Appears only if you drive the Energi though, the regular looks like the regular hybrid early adopters are standing in the rain with a begging bowl again
  5. This is correct, they appear to have fixed the majority of issues on the later versions, I am having problems but my build number is car 717 and 07/2012, delivered in October of 2012, impatiently waiting for mine to get the newest build for MFT and the navigation system that might fix the issues. Have had the re-calibration done and 3 GPS sensors replace so far with no success. Would definitely get the 302 package though
  6. then unlike regular vehicles where the compressor for the A/C is run on the engine which puts a higher load and lower gas mileage it has minimal affect on the C-Max MPG or am I missing something?
  7. Confused or missing something, according to this thread AC temp and compressor load the compressor is run by a electric motor, can't verify by looking at the moment because mine is back at the dealer again for issues.
  8. called Ford Customer care this morning about this, the person on the that I talked to could not even locate any mention of it nor a part number for it, offered to email pictures to them but was told at this time no emails are being accepted.
  9. Doubt it, my wing was built in Marysville Ohio, I watched go down the assemble line, it is by far the most superior long distance tour bike in existence, have 145K miles on it, have completed 7 Saddle Sore 1000 and 3 BunBurner 1500's on it. they only thing that link would look good next to is a mountain of what comes out of the north end of a horse going south Not sure what the point that you think you are trying to make, but I do have a valid concern about the vehicle, in it's present condition it is unreliable and problem ridden. *********************************** I purchase and ride a Goldwing since 1975 because it is the most superior long distance tour bike in existence I purchase and drive a ford because up until this one they are the most reliable cars in existence. MOD EDITED: Lets cut out the personal attacks/insults.
  10. If it makes it to court the chances of whether or not they followed the steps right will mean little - it is up to 12 to decide and each and every one of them will have their own judgment and feelings to follow, would love to see even 40, I see 32-34, not really that much between the mileage I have documented for my previous Escape and this one
  11. Little surprised that she told you it would be ready for download, unless you dont't have Navigation. With navigatio the Map chip has to be replaced with version A4, the current one A3 will not work with 3.5.1, all the other vehicles with Navigation had to be done by the dealer
  12. I complain, but they are valid complaints with issues on the car that are still problems, the car has been back to the dealer 7 times since I got it back in Oct of 2012, it has over 7K miles on it, the issues that are affecting the car are still there with no solution in sight, it is going back in for the 8th time on Monday for a problem that was suppose to be fixed the last time it was in and has popped back up again. The car is number 717 off the assemble line with a build date of 07/2012. The MFT system continuously reboots, the navigation puts me in the middle of a river when I drive next to one, the battery has been dead a number of times in the morning to name a few of the problems. It has had the gps unit replaced twice, the tsb has been done on the car, the rear sensing assembly has failed, to name a few of the problems Maybe I just got a lemon, the dealers (multiple dealers) are as confused as I am on the reliability of the vehicle. Have given up on mileage issues, it is a lost cause, still getting 32-33 mpg on the care with my normal driving habits. Not sure which way to go on this anymore, frustrated with the car, and tired of having to take vacation time to resolve the problems over and over again
  13. Many states allow either party to appeal a small claims court decision within a short period of time, usually between 10 and 30 days. In some states, appeals must be based solely on the contention that the judge made a legal mistake, and not on the facts of the case. Other states have their own unique rules. In California, for example, a defendant may appeal a small claims court decision to the Superior Court within 30 days and receive a new trial -- in which the judge addresses both the law and the facts of the case. And except in very limited circumstances, a plaintiff may not appeal at all. In CA, it is possible that the suite was $10,000 (effective January 1, 2012), except that a plaintiff may not file a claim over $2,500 more than twice a year. Limit for local public entity or for businesses is $5,000. $6,500 is the limit in suits by an individual against a guarantor that charges for its guarantor or surety services. While I am not happy with a number of issues with the car and 8 trips to the service department to resolve issues that are still occurring over the 7 months I have owned the car, the crass action suites over the mileage are plan stupid and a play for the lawyers to cash in on a easy settlement - they get paid by the company being sued no matter if they win the case or not. The only one that loses in a crass action suite is the people.
  14. Good for you, I prefer not to drink something hot enough that it can get me 3rd degree burns in about 12 seconds. Your throat must be lined with asbestos. Forget it, not worth discussing this portion anymore, the c-max lawsuit is stupid, the quoting of a valid law suite is the same thing
  15. risk had absolutely nothing to do with this, it was negligence on the part of McChoke and Puke by not following health and safety regulations and putting their customers in a dangerous situation over and above serving what them what they claim is food. I agree with the idea that the lawsuit for the C-Max is stupid, Not getting anywhere near the gas mileage that was advertised, a good 13 MPG below the advertised amount, even with 95 percent of my driving done at highway speeds in light traffic on cruise control @ 60-65 MPH. Drove an Escape for 3 years prior to this car and averages in the high 20's with in a couple of miles of the EPA estimate on the same route. The simple fact that this car comes no where near it's advertised estimate for a lot of the owners indicates someone dropped the ball or money passed under the table. same as the simple fact that Ford is in no way supporting those early adopters of the car as evidenced in the lack of updates for some major issues with the sync system. Been driving fords since 1970, this is the first time I am on the verge of regretting purchasing one.
  16. find it pretty amusing that everyone brings up the McDonalds hot coffee law suite without ever researching the case - the law suite was viable the coffee at the franchise in question was heated beyond the recommended temperature by the McDonalds corporate. She suffered 3rd degree burns on 6 percent of her body and lesser burns over 16 percent of here body. It was proven that the coffee they service was heated to 180 degrees and not the required 140 degrees. At 180 degrees the hot coffee will cause 3rd degree burns in about 12 seconds. Othe documents shows that McDonalds had settled out of court for scalding to the tune of 500,000 and between 1982 to 1992 they had recieved more then 700 complaints form people that have been burned in various degrees of severity. The jury found 80 percent negligence on McDonalds and 20 per on Lebeck. McDonalds appealed but they settled out of court for a undisclosed amount of less then 600,000. If you take the time to review the case, it was a justified law suite
  17. Kind of curious on how they can claim usb cellular modems, considering drivers are required for each and every device that are not native to th MFT system and have never seen a generic USB cellular modem driver. Even a PC require a special load of drivers when you load a USB modem the first time
  18. Bottom line still in the top 4 falsehoods mentioned, used to be 3 before the c-mac 3.5.1 vaporware was announced. I drive a C-MAX not a fusion, so when I see it for my car then they have made good on a long delayed required update for the car. went back to using my 79.99 Garmin as a navigation system, at least that does not make turn left when I am in the middle of a bridge. Given the release of 3.5.1 was December 2012, their "shortly" should be around Christmas of 2013 Fusion >< C-Max, don't really care anything about the Fusion, don;t drive one don't own one, I care about the SDT that I bought - the C-Max, when that shows up then it will be relevant. Until then 1. The checks in the mail 2. ... 3. .... 4. the C-Max 3.5.1 upgrade with the A4 chip set is coming. 2 & 3 have been left out to prevent moderation, but we all know what that is Like your signature, think I will use one like it myself Build date 07/20/2012, Sync, MFT and Navigation failures, 34 MPG
  19. so what seems to be said that they released the update but the hybrid will still not be getting in for a undetermined period of time - definition of shortly in 3 or 4 months, so sill in "the checks in the mail" mode
  20. Had one of the first ford fusions that came out with Sync, early build, early adopter. Sync had major issues that where fixed in later build cars, they could not fix it in early build cars so they stopped trying.
  21. At this point the Apple GPS is more accurate then the one in my C-Max, it has not told me to make a left in the middle of a bridge for a long time, and it gets me there. The only thing less reliable is my wife with a paper map as navigator
  22. nope, have a 1TB usb passport attached to the car via usb in the console box, find the 64GB iphone 5 to limited in storage, it also allows wife and daughter to have their one playlists
  23. the has been reports that the firmware on the PCM is causing the problem and they are "working on it, with no solution in sight" - the PCM is a easily replaced part on the car, rather then wasting all their people's time and money it would have been cheaper to recall the car and just fork lift the early adopters PCM module with the new ones but they have decided not take the route of no service and keep trying to fix the problem, they have been working on it for 4 months, beginning to believe that early adopters of the car will be left out in the cold again abd we wil never see it, like they have done before
  24. works fine here with a Iphone 5 with ios 6.1.3 have no issues pairing when I get in the car, wife has no problem pairing with a 4s and daughter with a 3GS, both on 6.1.3. even works if I get in the car without the phone on one drive, then on the next have the phone in my pocket. One of the few things that is reliable on the car. Might has the phone tested at Apple
