Did a short (25 mile) trip today and worked the gas pedal like PTJones showed and at the end I averaged more than half the miles on electric and got 50mpg!

I searched Youtube and found two videos showing shutter temperature test. I hope there's more because my wife and I are all in for getting the most mileage!

Nope, no kids out of the house, yet. Oldest is a senior and youngest is a sophomore. We had the "Big Mobile", AKA Chevy Traverse, because both kids were in marching band. My wife was the band booster president and we used the heck out of the cargo space the Traverse had, hauling all sorts of stuff across the Midwest for band competitions. Well, COVID came along and there's no marching band this year, no competitions, so we decided to stop getting 18 MPG and get our first hybrid. We are working to educate ourselves on how to get the best mileage so any tips or tricks is greatly appreciated! Jay

Just bought a 2016 C-Max and we are very excited to own our first hybrid! It's got 96K miles. The car has been well taken care of and we traded in a Chevy Traverse that had served its purpose as a people hauler. Now we want better mileage and this one definitely does that! Thanks! Jay

Well, I wanted to make sure, so I had the salesman take a picture of the sticker with the VIN on it. This vehicle was made in July of 2016.

From the VIN, I was able to decipher that it was made in November of 2016. Looks like I dodged the bullet on the trans issue. BTW, sorry for the messed up headline. I'll proof the next one before I hit enter. ?

Howdy Group! The wife and I have the rest of the weekend to consider buying at 2016 CMAX SE. It's got 94,000 miles, no accidents, was driven in Texas as a fleet vehicle. We live in Kansas. I'd never driven one and our whole family was impressed with it from bumper to bumper. My only question is the life of the battery pack. I haven't been able to find how to check the "health" of the pack. Any thoughts, comments, or questions would be greatly appreciated. BTW, we're trading in a 2013 Chevy Traverse with 172,000 miles on it. The CMAX is in near spotless condition, inside and out. The dealer dropped the price a grand to $9,999. Thanks! Jay
