  1. This is my wife's second 600 mile tank, but this time she got a picture. 47.4 mpg 12.65 gallons 600 miles 42 psi SEL w/pano

  3. I fixed it. The trick was to go to the Climate control screen, turn it off from there, and then turn the car off with the Climate screen displayed (not Nav, or Entertainment, etc). Now the climate control stays off when we start up, no matter what screen was displayed, like normal. Thank you all for the help and advice! Hope this helps someone, someday.
  4. Yes, we had the Nav/Entertainment lock up and quit on us once, after the reboot all has been well since. Yes, sounds like a trip to the dealer and a reprogram is in order.
  5. Mine seems to go full old skool hot air blast right off the bat.
  6. A new issue has come up. Over the past 4 days, every time we turn the car on / start the car, the automatic climate control comes on. We always turn the air conditioning / climate control off before every shut down so the car will not have to start while powering the air conditioner and associated compressor and fan during the start, but no matter what we do, the air conditioner always comes on MAX AC at our last temperature setting with the Automatic climate control. This happens no matter if it is 60 or 90 degrees out, and 5 seconds to 15 hours between start up/ shut down, so temp or time doesn't seem to affect it, it just does it every time. Any one else had this problem and any way around it? Thank you for the advice!
  7. It looks great, really nice job. Really looking forward to how well it holds up. Looks awesome though!
  8. My wife just finished a 601 mile tank using 12.3 gallons. She forgot to reset the trip odometer at the last fill up, so couldn't take a picture, but we have been doing a fuel log on our iphone and fuelly since day one. But on this next fillup will take a pic and get it up, should take about 3 weeks.
  9. The "one up", complete with bold and underline.
  10. Got ours done yesterday. I though they had to be twisted a quarter of a turn for some reason, but as stated in the post here, they pull straight out. My wires must have been abnormally short because I could barely get the bigger, longer LED bulb in there. But the lights are in and it looks good, a cool, light blue instead of the yellow, dull glow. Much better, and shipping from Amazon was two days. Thanks again!
  11. Please let me know if they find out anything. I'm almost afraid to take it to the dealership since they usually say they have never heard of it, can not duplicate it, and therefore don't know what the problem is and can not fix it.
  12. Service Writer: Customer says car is acting funny. Mechanic: Told car to straighten up, be serious, and drive right. C-Max is having some very intermittent issues, each has only happened once over the last three months. All the issues have been noticed by other owners on the C-Max forum, so when they happened they weren't really a "surprise" since we heard of them happening to other owners. 1. Car stays in ICE (internal combustion engine) mode for entire drive, never, ever goes into EV (Electric Vehicle) mode no matter how long or how slow you drive it. 2. Start car, put in Drive, transmission appears to stay in neutral as car will not move when accelerator is pressed. 2. Start car, put in Reverse, and get this, car goes FORWARD. Yes, folks, the car goes forward. Class action suit just waiting to happen on this, hopefully at the minimum a safety recall or worst case a buy back. But needless to say, we can't have a car that drives (not rolls, not down hill, not "settle", but drives) in the opposite direction as the gear shift indicator. All of these are easily "reset" and "fixed" by turning the car off an back on, and each has only happened once and so far have been impossible to duplicate. I'm sure the dealership and Ford will have never heard of these before and they will probably keep the car for a while since they can't have a car running around in the opposite direction as directed, so you can see my concern for taking it to a good dealership that can actually try to come up with a solution. We love the car, just want it to "straighten up and drive right".
  13. Got those prices from other dealerships. I had a friend looking for the same car/options who is a Costco, USAA, and AAA member and in the military (X plan), who ended buying the same week as me, and we shared data. I think he contacted every Ford dealership in 300 miles. He found a dealership that beat all of those and had the salesman call me. Basically, he did all the work and shared the info. Good friend to have and saved me lots of money and time.
  14. AAA, Costco, USAA and others having buying plans to get a pretty good price. X plan is also a nice way to get a good discount with the other rebates/incentives. I found a dealer that beat all of that, so I didn't have deal with any of those program. So yes, some dealers are willing to deal. You can buy for thousands below sticker price.
  15. Yes, exactly, avoid mud, chewing gum, snakes, and other stuff you wouldn't want to step on. :) The also turn on when you enter the car when you pull the handle or hit the unlock button on the remote. Pretty cool feature.
  16. Looks great! Nice and bright and the LEDs should pull less juice from the battery. Thanks for the tip and letting us know how to get to them to change them out. Got a set ordered. Thanks!
  17. I always find it amusing when someone makes a comment or has an opinion on a tax they don't have to pay. And it is not a "fair share", hybrid owners will have to pay $64 more a year than a regular car, regardless of the MPG they are capable of. Compare a TDI getting 40 mpg and a hybrid getting 40 mpg, but the hybrid would have to pay an extra $64 a year tax. That is not paying your "fair share", that is paying more just because you drive a hybrid. Officials Say Reduced Hybrid Tax Still Unfair http://ashburn.patch.com/articles/officials-say-reduced-hybrid-tax-still-unfair-7f07019d “While the Governor reduced the tax, he should have eliminated it,” Surovell said in a statement. “Basing a tax on a specific technology does not make sense when the mileage of hybrid vehicles ranges from 19 to 60 MPG. There are many gas-powered vehicles that get better mileage than many hybrids. If the Governor wants an additional tax to pay for road damage, he should focus on vehicle weight.”
  18. So you are claiming the EPA tested a 2013 Ford C-Max and posted a 47/47/47 result. Please reference where you found this information. Everything I have read states that Ford came up with the numbers based on EPA guidelines. http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/cars/2013/02/28/epa-gas-mileage-ford-cmax-fusion/1954967/ " Mileage testing is typically done by automakers, following rules set by the EPA, which then retests about 15% to be sure its procedures are being followed." http://www.dailytech.com/EPA+Ready+to+Investigate+Ford+CMax+Fusion+Hybrid+Fuel+Economy+Claims/article29656.htm "The Environmental Protection Agency has announced that it will test the fuel efficiency claims that Ford has put forward with its C-Max Hybrid and the Fusion Hybrid."
  19. Well I got metal shavings out on my first "early" oil change. I guess I should go add some metal shavings back to my engine oil to make sure I don't shoot myself in the foot.

  21. Simply not true. Mine works.
  22. I play Pandora in my SEL. It works over bluetooth or plugging in the USB. When you plug it into the USB, you can control it from the MFT screen. Never done anything special besides plug the iPhone 4s in the USB, start Pandora on the phone then go to the Entertainment screen and can control from there.
