Thanks for the info. Looks like there are only these few options right now. I have a roll of the clear 3M vinyl, exact same material the Ford clear protector is made out of. Got it off ebay for about 20 bucks, but of course I would have to cut it to fit and it doesn't have the C-Max logo and striping on it. Not sure it would stand up to my dogs sharp claws. Judging from other bumpers that they have cut into, I don't think vinyl will stand a chance in the long run. I like the looks of the black plastic one, but wish it was bigger and slightly rolled over the rear lip of the bumper. That is where the majority of the scratches come from while they claw there way into the back. I think I'll wait and see what comes out on the market, and just use a towel for now.

You really can't get much better than Opti-coat. I've been detailing cars for decades, and you really can't get much better than this product. The only thing better is getting another layer of clear coat on the vehicle. You can do it your self for 70 bucks, and it's not that hard.

Are there any good options out there for protecting the top of the bumper from scratches when loading items?

Hello everyone. Just went from a 14 year old car with 140 miles to a new C-Max Hybrid, SEL, 303A w/ Pano Roof, Tuxedo Black on Black interior. Never heard of the C-max a week ago, but scored a great deal on one and we love it! Wife and I go out and figure out new stuff on the MFT every day. First mod will be a little tint this Saturday, going 35% all around including the sunroof. Got to keep it cool so we dont' have to run the A/C on high all summer. Love this car, just wanted to say hello.
