Wonder if there is a trailer that would be "safe" for use with the C-Max - I'd like to look in the UK if they start offering Hybrid Max there I'm sure someone will use a trailer with it.

Also is there a list of stuff that is supposed to come with the car? (Sadly my $30k car I ordered was swapped by the dealer at the last minute for a test driven car that has more than a few issues and finding out after the fact that I'm missing some items I should have gotten at time of purchase)

Thank you as well! Some interesting news. Left the vehicle with the shop around 7:00am today. I posted in another area of the forum - Was quoted by the senior guy at the shop that they spoke with Ford Engineers - an update is coming in two weeks per an actual Service Bulletin - but will require the car to get serviced. (Suspect that hardware will be getting replaced, but details were hidden from my view.) I can't really find anything on google but I looked at the paperwork - had a serial number thing of "13A01" or something of that nature. Also will require a new SD Card "A4" Navigation software. So it appears they do have some kind of a fix that will be showing up. Also - Ford did have a huge issue getting vehicles off the line to folks in January. I suspect that something was found related to the issue everyone is talking about because they were literally "unable" to find my car within their railcars, but I know this stuff is tracked by satellite and RFID so probably BS to cover their butts. (at least 20 people I've talked to did not get their cars ordered with delivery date last week of December / 3rd week of January 2013.) Not sure if related. They are replacing all the stuff I mentioned - FOR FREE. :happy feet:

Yeah they said my car was still under warranty - it had done it since I bought it. The Ford Mechanics called the Ford Engineer team in Michigan and asked about a related issue to the strut. To be clear it is my front left. How old is your car? They covered it all under warranty, but I'm waiting to get the replacement strut. About 2 week turnaround time. I had a lot of random issues though tbh. I didn't even know it was an issue until comparing it to my fathers Hybrid Fusion, which has same drive train and motor / engine combo. We noticed his is completely quiet. I then compared to another C-Max and noted that my front left shock sounded "crunchy" or "squeaky" ... but more "crunky" than squeaky. Will know the outcome soon, but I did goto a different dealership than the one I bought my car from. (On purpose, because they continually lied about times, and this car had been a test drive car prior to the one that wife and I ordered from the Factory.) Long story short. They're fixing it for free.

I was given an A3 card, should have been given an A4 card so my car was made somewhere in the middle. Also there was a weird sound coming from the strut. Turns out this is a defect - they had a Ford Engineer address it. The new Ford My Touch update comes out in about 2 weeks. There is an advisory on it. There was a software version called "13A01" not sure if that will help anyone. My parts are on their way to the dealership and everything was covered under warranty. Pretty awesome if it works out :)

I spoke with a technician for quite some time today. It appears that there is an update going out and they may be updating my car today. I'm not completely sure if it's anything hardware related or a simple update, but I know I ran the last update myself with the usb tool on Ford's owner site. Will report back as my C-Max was from a 2012 build date and may actually require some sort of hardware change.

Had my V1 die in California heat - actually killed the V1. Must say they have a much better and faster service plan then Ford does. They shipped it back to me within 2 days!

Yes I am having the issue as well. Hilarious as I am trying to capture the windows error screen that popped on one of these times it happened. Have read several spots in the forum that cars made after January 2013 are having a newer firmware installed at the plant, and some additional hardware changes. Some sort of recall thing may go into effect per what some folks have said on here.

I am compiling a list of every damn device I've tried to use with MFT Sync 3.1.3 as a USB tether for use with the MFT Built in Hotspot. So far ZERO success. (This is with the built in MFT Hotspot.) Yes I know I can try bluetooth or wireless and I can get wireless to work. However I'm curious as Ford has no actual list of supported USB dongle devices so I am hoping to get one started here. I've just read this. So I ordered a C-Max from Albany Ford in California - The original car was lost in transit and never came. Our Sales guy however told us that "Your car was found and it will be here Saturday." So Saturday came and went, and he said it hadn't been picked up yet. Then we came in Sunday and found a C-Max there but it had a different VIN and was not the one we ordered. Ford was unable to find the original car, we had a case number and everything. So we were dealer swapped and not told a damn thing until we showed up to pickup our car. Truth be told after reading all of this I wish I would have waited for a car with new firmware. We have had several reboots and ended up on dirt roads when following the NAV. I've fallen back to my Android GPS and google maps from now on. So I'm noticing that you guys are mentioning the build versions - we picked up the C-Max around 1/12/2013 - and the one that we had ordered was missing for about a month. Anyhow the car we got has the 3.1.3 firmware, and a lot of issues related to reboots. Also noticed that window seals are not completely sealing in some cases, and there are quite a few areas where the sound deadening material has now come loose and moves around. Also there are some issues with the left side of the car - front suspension area seems to be broken. Taking it in prior to the 10k service to ask wtf is up with all these things.

How many miles have you got on the motor now? What is the area you live in like? Lots of hills? What is your current PSI? I've noticed my cars mpg seems to be improving a little but is still nowhere near the 47MPG as of yet.
