  1. Just had my 10th dead battery issue a couple weeks ago. Called the dealership. They said they would come get it. No show. Called the dealership the following Monday, said they would come get it. No show. Called the main dealership, left a message with the owner. Then called my salesman. They got it in and I got a loaner. They checked it out, did everything in the TSB including coating some wires and updating some modules. Hope it is fixed now, if not the owner said we would do an in house trade and be done with it. Hate to give up my mileage but I didn't buy a brand new car to have continuing service issues.
  2. Today was the 10th dead battery event on my car. 2 years old this week and just rolled over 20,000 miles. 9 of them after sitting overnight in my garage, 1 after sitting all day at work. The car sat almost 2 months this summer waiting for parts for the recall to fix this. Guess they didn't work.
  3. $50 jumper battery is cheaper than a loaner car or using their roadside assistance.
  4. Really think it is Ford that should be buying me the $50 jumper battery!
  5. It's been well over a month now. Still not fixed. Parts not in for the seat recall either. Been driving a car that they aren't allowed to sell or drive for demos for over a month now.
  6. Nope! Still not fixed.Been driving around in a car that is not to be sold or driven for demo purposes for over a month now. Still waiting!!!
  7. Had 7 battery failures before they did the first recall and replaced the battery. Another battery failure, they did a software update, checked the charging system and charged the battery. Another battery failure, also had warning to repair advan trac and airbag light came on and stayed on. Been sitting at the dealer for 2 weeks. Said part needed is now backordered until July. Was told I could come get it. Asked if I had a jump box, I said no. Guess they want their loaner back. Wonder if the airbag will even deploy if needed?
  8. Well, it's been 2 weeks now. Called the dealer to check on it. Nothing done to my car. Part is now back ordered until July. Dealer said I could come pick up the car, I assume he wants the loaner back. He asked if I had a jump box I said no. Going to pick it up after work. Loaner is too small and low to the ground, not easy to get into to. Will risk starting failure I guess. Who knows if airbag will work, since that light is on. Called last week and asked them to do the seat weld recall while they had it. Don't know if that has been done.
  9. When I first approached my dealer about a dead battery I was told that I lived in the country and it was mice. I said I've been reading about it on the forum and there are lots of people with the same problem. He knew nothing about it. I let it go, hoping it was a 1 time thing. After 7 dead battery issues the recall came out and I got the software update done and the battery replaced. Another dead battery issue and they checked it over again. Checked the charging system and charged the battery. Driving home from a weekend trip, about an hour from home a warning light came on and said that my AdvancTrac needed service. About the same time the airbag light came on and stayed on. Called and scheduled service. The day of the service, the car was again dead in the garage. Jumped it and took it in. The word I'm getting now is that it was a "bad module" that was the source of all my problems. That module is on a nationwide backorder and they are hoping to get it in the next couple weeks. They have already had the car 5 days. I had to call this morning and ask to find out that information. Good thing is I do have a loaner, even if it is small and too low to the ground for a couple hip replacements to get in and out easily.
  10. When the mirrors where on in my Dodge truck there was a little light that came on in the cut out on the mirrors. Hadn't seen one here. I don't have much call for them to be on and was wondering if they were even working.
  11. When the mirrors are on, is there an indicator light, that comes on, in the little cut out on the mirror?
  12. I have foam insulation on my grill and it has certainly helped my MPG. Finally starting to warm up now. I know at some point I need to uncover the grill. My trip to work is only 4 miles. I'm not worried about the car overheating in 4 miles (am watching the temperature gauge). I actually got 93.4 MPG on the way home!!! Today is a 25 mile trip and a little cooler. I'm thinking maybe I should uncover some of the grill? I was thinking about taking out the piece of insulation that covers the middle third (runs width wise) of the upper grill and see what that does for me. Is there any reason at all to uncover the very bottom grill?
  13. Yesterday was a welcome 55º here. Journeyed out to a friend's house to select a new ram lamb. Just under 25 miles, with the new boy unhappy in back, I managed 53.4 MPG!!!
