wow that is troubling to see it burn the plastic holder around it.
-
is it the traction motor struggling with the extra weight added, plus AC with high temps? Mine is the same.

after getting my oil changed today and performing the oil reset, i saw my Summary had reset itself too it seems.

I don't know what I did??? :headscratch: There was a large four wheel drive truck behind me the other day that suddenly passed me on the right on a right hand turn off. I was feathering between 45 and 50 and noticed him a good distance behind me. Maybe when we slowed to stop at a light he got close enough to see that I was driving a hybrid and was offended. That's when he suddenly passed me honking his horn and glaring at me. :stirpot: I just don't know what his problem was.
what was the posted speed limit? traffic conditions?
-
That pretty much explains it. Good to see some real world use on the site.
i just drive it normal, no feathering to get EV mode. i use 89 octane if that means anything.
-
EV+ displayed (on the display to the left of the speedometer).
i know that, i meant how do you know where it will turn on? one place is my neighborhood.
-
Given the track record of some dealerships, I would recommend that everyone getting an oil change reset the oil life monitor themselves instead of relying on the service tech knowing (how) to do it.
is it as simple as going into the settings and hit reset?

The owner's manual recommends changing it every 10k. I don't remember reading anything about synthetic only either.
that's too long IMHO - it's cheap insurance and lucky my company pays for it.
-
-
I know it's 5w-20, but does it have to be synthetic only?
Anything other maintenance items needing to be addressed?
-
when i had my prius, i had to do something similar too
-
how do you tell your EV+ locations?
-
i didn't know EV+ used the GPS for it to turn on...interesting, what's the reasoning?
i do know it's on when i am in my subdivision.

You had the rear liftgate up to get that picture.

that will definitely kill your mpgs (the idling part).why can't you just turn the car off and use accessory mode to power your laptop?
why don't you try that when it's 90+ degrees outside and wearing a suit? :drop:
my company pays for the gas and everything else, so i don't mind burning fuel ;)
-
Off topic, but how did you manage 29 MPG on your last tank?
honestly i don't know, it was raining and humid w/ AC on all the time past 18 days - i drive a lot of hills and i speed a lot  :shift:
plus i drive in the city going from appointment to appointment and i idle in the parking lots doing admin work on my laptop (medical sales)

Maybe, but don't ever do it. Depending on your state of charge you might go pretty far but there is no way to predict exactly how far before you get stuck.
The real problem is that you will get so low that you might draw the sludge from the bottom of the tank into the filter and clog things up. Or you might dry run the fuel pump which could burn it out. Much better to plan ahead and fill the tank before that point. It isn't like you don't get ample warning. You might get away with it now but the chances of problems increases as the car ages because the level of sludge is constantly increasing as the car gets older.
Sludge? It's not oil ;)

Hopefully they fix the nav issues or have some type of bulletin, my dealer is clueless
-
Just curious when I was low on fuel, wondering if it will go all electric until I reach a gas station a mile away or battery dies for example?
-
Is the benefit just better/cooler lights or does it save battery (energy) usage too?
always to look cooler ;)

Armoredsaint, Did you get the yellow side marker LED's installed? How did it go?
thank for the reminder, i got them but it was defective and wrong color - i sent them back to amazon, but at that time they didn't have replacements - got busy at work and forgot about it :)
-
But doesn't that stop it from auto-playing when I plug it in? I want it to do that - just on the right song (or even playlist).
Anyhow since you've invalidated my dislike, I get to pick another: The left door handle creaks when I rest my left leg against it.
:hysterical:
