  1. Feedback. All 3 of my dead batteries have happened when I haven't driven the CMAX SE for about 3 days...after about 15 mile drives to local stores. It sits in my garage.
  2. A re-read of my service ticket. I thought they did 13-4-7 and 13-4-13. They did 13-5-1 & 13-4-13. So.........Maybe I am ok, at least I don't need to call the service mgr. about doing 13-5-1. (perhaps a senior moment on my part.)
  3. To ceemax71 & others. Since I just had TSB130413 performed on my SE only a couple of days ago, I make short drives & may not drive it for perhaps 3 days, I think I am a candidate for TSB130501. I really appreciate the link to this TSB. Thx ceemax71! I shall call my service mgr. 1st thing on Monday!
  4. Lemon Law? As mentioned in this forum, states vary on this. I have checked the law in KY. It also speaks to 4 unresolved 'failures' as a starting point for negotiations...or something to that effect. I have already talked with the dealer salesman re this & said if it happens again, say in the next month or so, that will be the 4th time & I shall seriously think about turning it in. I hope this doesn't happen! I don't feel carrying around a portable charger (& having to check that it keeps its charge!) is a solution for me! My last car was a 2006 Escape which I gave to my son as his '97 (used) Chevy truck was going to require some major work. I had the Escape for close to 7 years. 42,000 miles on with the only service being a tire change and oil changes. I would look to an Escape if the CMAX battery issue has not been solved.
  5. Laurel. Oddly I do like the Cmax. It seems solid, responds well, is quiet, & easy to drive. I am just frustrated with the dead batteries & lower than expected mpg (which is a primary reason in my decision to buy the Cmax). One thing I noticed in the user supplied mpg data is the 2 lowest reports (28 & 29 mpg) were from Utah and Maine, & the 2 highest (54 & 56) were from Florida. Hills and cold vs flat & warm???
  6. Hi. I should have written that I have an SE model. The 3 dead batteries since mid-Dec. 2012 have come with now a total of 2200 miles on the car. Side note; I have noticed that some 86 people have provided mpg values on the gov. site. Likely a somewhat biased sample as people would seem to be more likely to enter data if their results are low. The ave. of the 86 entries is 39 mpg. With 2200 miles on mine, my average is 37 mpg. Doesn't sound like 47 to me...
  7. My 1st post. Bought my CMAX -201A in mid-Dec. 2012. Had 1st dead battery in mid Jan. '13. Was dead in garage. Tow truck man jumped it in garage (using my little 12V battery charger) in order to get it on the roll-back. Lights came on almost immediately with the charger hooked up. Drove it onto rollback towtruck. Dealer service could find no problem, but decided to change the battery anyway. 2nd dead battery (again in garage not driven in 3 days) in mid-Feb. '13. I jumped it & drove it to the dealer. They kept it over the weekend & it started with no problems for them. They could find no problem. 3rd dead battery 1st week of May '13. Talked with service foreman. I jumped it again & drove it in. They checked all the wiring for the doors and lift gate. Could find no problem there. They performed TSB 130501 and 130413. They monitored the voltage level for about 8 hours. I picked it up and drove it home. I hope the latter TSB will do the job. Only had the CMAX back now for 2 days.
