2013 C-Max Hybrid SE - 116k miles Was wondering if anyone could help me diagnose this noise. It's been happening for a month or so now. The noise is now fairly consistent based on the following list: Loudest right off initial acceleration after stopping Seems to make noise up until ~30 mph Does not make the noise at all when going in reverse Can only hear it with the windows down and typically if the noise bounces off a wall It seems like it is coming from the passenger side of the vehicle I've attached a recording. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm planning on taking to a Ford dealer next week. Car-noise.m4a

Our 2013 SE (179k miles) now intermittently makes an abrupt "pop" sound when accelerating from a standstill after braking to a stop. It definitely seems to require a moderately abrupt start off and it can happen even if the ICE does not start. I don't think it has ever happened after coasting to a stop or braking very gently. It seems it started about a 1000 miles after having the transmission replaced, latch recall done, and rear brake rotors/pads replaced. No idea if its related to any of that work. It sounds like its under the car but hard to tell where. Any ideas or similar experiences?

Hi there: First time poster! My C-max seems to have recently developed a strange noise ("whining") when I am going from a stop until it gets up to speed (i.e. until it gets to 2nd gear). Also makes the noise when idling if the ICE is on (if heater or A/C is on). Here is a video demonstration. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

My 2014 C-MAX Hybrid recently began making this loud sound that seems to be coming from the inverter. Does anyone know how to fix this or is the inverter shot? Check video for audio: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00wLT2mRXMQ

Monday 11/3/2014. Weather temp 43F. Time around 6:40am. Driving on highway. Radio has been on since the car started 30mins ago. Around 6:40am, there as some kind of static or sound like from firework sparking stick that was coming from the speakers for serveral minutes. I thought may be the radio channel need to change. But before I changed it, the radio screen was turned off and blank, and the radio channel still was playing. And then the radio screen was back to normal being on again, the radio channel was still playing, but the sparking noises from the speakers were gone. This has happened one time. Bizzare? And yes yes, I only have the basic model with radio equipment only. :)
