Hello everyone... Just a week into my new ownership of a used 2013 Ford C-Max SEL in tri-metallic White with 65K on her. Love it. Traded in my beloved 2009 BMW 750Li.... after 12 BMW's I decided to go for something different. Still have a BMW X5 that the wife drives. The Experience is a bit different. I love the fact of geekdom on the dashboard despite the older version of My Ford Touch. Had no problems as of yet. Getting used to it without reading the manual. Started to poke around and set stations for AM and FM. Sirius seems to be activated as I can ask for specific channels Not sure how long that will last. I never discussed it at trade in. I started to think about hybrids and brought home a 2012 PriusV trim 5 test ride to have the wife look at. She HATED it. Too low to enter without banging her head and noticed the cheaper looking interior. Then tried a Honda Civic 2015 - she came outside and just said NO! So I scoured the internet and found the one I bought. I never even HEARD of a Ford C-Max until 2 days before. We both watched videos of them on YouTube and decided to try one. Found a dealer about 25 miles away - Dealer and sales guy said go, take it home and have wife look. She loved it! Went back and did all the paperwork and off I go! Getting avg 40.1 MPG on my 15.1 commute each way to work. Some highway on weekends for my wedding filming work so It will be a gas sipper and saver for the wallet from the behemoth 14-22 MPG 750Li I had. Love the "leaves" and the ability to switch things up on the dash. Voice commands work pretty well. Still not accessed everything I want. Navigation had some issues as the address seemed to not be available or the house address not able to be entered. Used my suction cup windshield GPS as a backup. One thing I miss is the HUD I had. Over it! I can use the window GPS for that if I feel like it. After a week of driving it I have yet to even see one on the road....until this morning. Same color as mine! I have the 302A package, Pano roof. Does not have the Parallel parking. Not living in the city makes this a non issue. Being a smaller car - I am sure I can park it myself anyway if needed. Also Remote Start. BMW's do not have that at all! Love the hatchback. Easier to load all my gear. Have the automated hatch opening and backup camera too. I do notice the cabin is a LOT nosier than the BMW's I have had. Tires on the road and lack of sound proofing. Not complaining. I hear the cars on the driver door whooshing by and thought a window was down or the door not shut. My other rides are a BMW X5 and a Honda Goldwing. Cheers. Joe (DUCK) Elgin IL

Hi everyone ~ I'm picking up my new 2014 C-Max Hybrid SEL w/303A option (Ruby Red) this morning! I decided on the C-Max over the Prius V after doing a ton of research, even though 2 neighbors have a Prius & HIGHLY recommended it. The driving test for me was the deciding factor. The Prius V interior design was annoying/irritating - dash is centered + too far away to read clearly with bi-focals, the EV, ECO, POWER buttons for boosting HP uphill was under my right elbow, navigation screen is tilted forward so the glare made it impossible to see, & Toyota is still using Ni-MH batteries. Plus I didn't think I could adjust to a 98HP motor driving a V-6 for 55 yrs. I really liked driving the C-Max Hybrid - felt normal & even like driving a sports car. Like everything about the interior quality & the dash's design. It doesn't have as much cargo space as the Prius V, but the seats lay completely flat (important for my dog's big crate). However, after reading quite a few posts on this forum since signing on the dotted line, I am very concerned about the 12v starter battery failing. The car is 2 yrs into production & still no "fix" from Ford? It should come with a Stanley Simple Starter for a known problem! Looking forward to enjoying my new car, but certainly not my neighbors get to gloat if the start battery is dead! MomsHugs aka Eve

Just joined the hybrid car owners with our 302A equipt'd SEL wearing White Platinum Tri-Coat. Originally the wife said since this is replacing my daily commute car that she would like to occasionally drive it. She hasn't let me drive it since we bought it a week ago! I have to sneak in late night store runs to get behind the wheel. =) We love the car and look forward to hopefully joining the 600 club eventually.

ok, Actually I'm from NY/NJ, and just moved here less than a month ago. After using mass transit in NJ for the last 10 years, my new TX 42 mile commute, usually with sections of bumper to bumper traffic, I decided I could use a hybrid. Lots of debate between the C-Max, and the fusion, but I just couldn't justify not having decent trunk space. Especially if we were going use it to take a weekend road trip to explore this big new state. So after a few weeks hunting one down, I'm now the (so-far) happy owner of a 13' platinum white SEL with medium light stone interior with the 303a, and the pano roof. There were a few options I could have done without, but since I was borrowing an 06' accord to get to work, I figured I could pay for some extra goodies. On the first drive into work, I was very happy that I only used .8 gallons!!!!! And I'm new to hybrid driving. Also there seem to be a lot of BIG pickups here not happy with me using eco cruise to keep her at 62 so I can make that vine look like kudzu. The Mrs enjoys driving this thing so much (and wants an auto lift-gate for her next car) except for my work commute we have to call dibs on the car instead of the mini-van. I guess my only disappointment so far is not having a spare. personally I'd rather jack up the car, and get rolling again, but then I'd have the trunk of the fusion. ;)
