King-max
My C-max is 7 years old and always started as expected. The other day it would not start and with a boost would start but would not stay running. A new battery was installed and the mechanic said that it was not charging and that I would need to have it towed to the dealership. Their diagnosis indicates that it needs a new DC/DC converter. Within Canada they could not source one. It has been ordered through USA. Has anyone else experienced this failure? How much did it cost to get back on the road again? Just wondering. Zathrus
I do not recall many reports of DC-DC Converter failures in this forum, but the one I am aware of was due to a faulty fuse in line with DC-DC Converter output (which resulted in insufficient charging of 12V battery). See below post for details. fbov
