grege
Heard that Ford finally "owned up" to unresolved tranny issues (through 2018s). Sadly, not a recall (yet), but at least a TSB: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10148717-9999.pdf jestevens

cr08
Just adding some data points to this: I follow the main C-Max FB groups and a few 2017/18 owners have chimed in recently having this same transmission issue and getting them replaced under warranty. So we have some confirmed incidents.
Lacienega
It's a hit and miss case if you get this disease...not only the 2013 - 2014 models anymore

So we have some confirmed incidents. Sadly, yes. Our 2018 titanium tranny was replaced before 36,000 miles and the replacement doesn't drive as well as the original one and occasionally makes noises that suggest the replacement too is not going to be long-lived either. Car currently has 56,000 miles on it. So, I'd much rather see a recall for those displaying signs of problems (e.g., shavings, growling). Rmayo
I have this same issue on a 2013 C-Max at 70,000 miles. The Ford dealer just told me $12,000 and blew me off. How can I tell if I have the HF35 CVT?
