Dashboard/Instrument panel & Air Con not working.

Recommended Posts

New to this forum, if I've posted under the incorrect subject I apologize.

I drive a 2013 C-Max Energi

In Sept of this year I was in a car accident. My driver's door and front driver's fender took the hit. All things are sorted with the insurance and I purchased the car to repair. The car is in great working order as far as driving is concerned. However, my dashboard is completely black and my air con is completely black, surprisingly my radio/sync works with no problem. I don't believe the dashboard has become disconnected anywhere because when I stop for fuel I the message for ready to refuel pops up.

TLDR; Has anyone has any issue where their C-Max's Dashboard & Air con no longer work? If so, is there a reset or something I should look into to fix this issue?

Thanks to anyone and everyone that reads this and responds!

Sounds like the power or ground is disconnected.  For power check fuses for blown fuse.  There is one fuse panel under the glove box.

Another under the hood and another in the cargo area.

I would try checking F69 (instrument cluster) in the fuse panel under the glove box.

Look at this page for help in locating the correct fuse.

Good luck

Been driving near daily using my speedometer app and a fan lol. Back in Apr. I was driving to visit a friend and it was raining. Out of nowhere the dash and air con started working. I assumed it was fixed. Sadly it all went off and hasn't been back on. I'm assuming it's a short somewhere and the water was conducting. Anyways, I've replaced the driver's fender but there's a missing connector I need that connects 1411001-1 which is an 8pin connector to a 4pin connector. I'm very uneducated when it comes to cars but it anyone knows anything please share.                                                     1210408

thank you!
