No phone sync after 3.5.1

Recommended Posts

I jinxed myself. Well I never should have posted "good job Ford engineers" following my car's update yesterday, because now my phone won't sync or be recognized at all. Help? I have an iPhone 4s, bluetooth is turned on, and I've deleted the phone from the car's history to start fresh. When I attempt to add a new device, I keep getting the "timeout" message that no phone is found or is not discoverable. Dang you, Ford engineers!

Has anyone else had this problem, or can anyone suggest something short of going back to the dealership? Grrrrrr...

NOPE,

Syncing my iPhone 4 was much easier than before my 3.5.1 update.  Just followed the instructions on the MFT screen.

Does your iPhone indicate it is in discoverable mode when bluetooth is on?

Yes, the iPhone say it's discoverable but I just get the searching circle loop on both the phone and the car console. I deleted the sync profile from the phone to avoid confusing the car, but that doesn't seem to have helped matters.

did you delete the definition from the Iphone also? When you look at the bluetooth screen in the setup does it show as discoverable?

Yes, Wingrider, i deleted the profile on the phone and the car. Phone shows discoverable, but it never actually pairs with the car. Bummer.
