SnitGTS
they had 30% better fuel economy driving 45 mph around a circular course ten times then at 65 mph doing the same thing. Edit: they are using a regular car, not a hybrid Edited June 13, 2013 by SnitGTS
SnitGTS
they busted doubling the mileage with hyper-miling techniques, but Tory got 70% better mileage and Keri got 40% better.

Jus-A-CMax
Saw that in DiscHD, :wub2: it. As I was watching them drive their gas guzzler, I could not but help think that our CMaxs have SO MANY niceities like the high 62mph EV, larger battery that woud have made mince meat of the MPG game on those rolling surface streets and then taking it to the vineyard and coasting the downgrades...full battery, EV all the way BABY :yahoo: Is it me, or did I detect an undertone that the older car had better mileage....did they imply an older, broken in car is superior here? (hope I didn't miss read that episode)?!?!

salsaguy
what's even more interesting and funny is one of the related articles down under that article:http://www.moneytalksnews.com/2012/04/10/goodbye-to-hybrids-many-owners-will-go-back-to-gas/ i wonder how many of these folks changed their minds when they got thecmax. I think that was the difference.

I think that was the difference.Cool, I did not DVR it but it looked the same car when I watched it. If that was the case, then IF they used the same model, it would have made a more interesting discussion between a new car MPG vs a broken in one.
