salsaguy
Here is what you can expect from the next generation of MyFord Touch/ sync.(this will be on the next gen of cars in 2014/2015, per the article)it's already on the 2013 Ford F-150 Lariat model.challenge here: can anyone spot the cmax in the video?? what color was it?? ;)they will be adding real knobs and dials in addition to the touch screen interface to reduce all the complaints with it. your thoughts?? do you wish you had this now instead or are you ok with current setup? :http://www.motorweek.org/auto_news/motor_news/myford_touch Edited August 4, 2013 by salsaguy

PWBarrett
We've already got knobs and buttons for the most-used radio controls and the climate control. In fact, the only one I'd add would be a vertical scroll wheel to keep from having to use the touch-screen slider for things like going through the Sirius channel list. Looked different than Ruby Red, which I haven't seen in person, only on-line and maybe in one brochure. Anyone know?
Wingrider01
prefer it as it is, one thing I would love is a HUD like I had in my Grand Prix showing everything on the wind screen salsaguy
darrelld
I can see an advantage to traditional analog style controls in a motor vehicle. It does take a fraction more of your eyes away from the road to find a touch point rather than pressing the larger surface area of traditional button. salsaguy
i think it would be nice to have both options so that you can pick and choose what to use depending on your mood or concentration level at the time.
ARA
Both options have their shortcomings.....but if I had to choose, I would take the MFT. I have become accustomed to it and find it easier to use each passing day. I would like to have HUD.....should be offered on the C-Max ( I prefer a digital speedo ). JAZ
wab, I've got a ScanGauge on my other car, and with a digital readout on instant fuel display there is always a lag...otherwise, there would just be digits flashing constantly. The analog on the C-Max appears to be a good approximation of what's currently happening and a glance tells me where I am on the fuel consumption.
