StoBro2
Around here, all of the gas can have ethanol in it. Our choices are 87, 89 or 93 octane. I'm pretty sure it's true just about everywhere that the mid-grade is just a combination of the contents of the 87 octane underground storage tank and the 93 octane underground storage tank, blended at the pump. Locally, that's a blend of 33% premium and 67% regular. I've tried them all. When the price dips, I splurge on 89 or 93. When it spikes, I revert to 87. I don't see any difference in MPG- there are too many other variables to pin any change in fuel economy on the octane rating.
Arthur
The manual says ~87.
shadoegrounds
I see a dramatic difference in mpg using ethanol free. On tank of normal gas I am lucky to ever break 44.5 mpg. Once I am near fumes I refill with ethanol free and I am consistently between 47.5 and 52 mpg. I have gone back and forth to make sure its not a fluke. :D
fbov
Per the EPA:"1 gallon of E85 has 73% to 83% of the energy of one gallon gasoline (variation due to ethanol content in E85). 1 gallon of E10 has 96.7% if the energy of one gallon of gasoline. [2] You should see a difference!

C-MaxSea
Nice poll AS. 87 for now, mostly Chevron, can't say I've put much thought into it. Time to amp up the tire pressure a scosh, and look at the octane/energy options more closely. Mr. cheap here. Nick (water Nick, water - don't touch that button..............) METROMAN
Wish I could find some ethanol free gas around here. We run 87 with 10% E. 44 psi on tires. 48.3 mpg avg now.
ptjones
I normally use 87, but used Ethanol Free for my record run and I think I gained 1 or so mpg on my trip. But at $4 a gallon vs $3.19 it's not worth it. Paul

Paul I didn't know there was such a price difference. :drop: I would have to stick with the 87 10% anyway. ptjones
