MFT Warranty Extension? 12M02

Just checked Etis to see if it would let me in, unlike a few days ago, and found this:

 

Outstanding Field Service Actions:

12M02 - SYNC WITH MYFORD/MYLINCOLN TOUCH - WARRANTY EXTENSION COVERING ACCESSORY PROTOCO L INTERFACE MODULE (APIM)

 

Anyone know what exactly this covers, other than perhaps Fords "behind" re: Consumer Reports?

What this covers per the PDF:  APIM software updates and APIM module replacement warranty has been extended to five years.

This was done long before CR posted their BS........ It's an extension coverage period of the APIM

BillN wrote about the extension on the forum in August.  Maybe you can search for it as I can't find it. Just found it!  Scroll down in this same header of TSB's to Aug.12th and there it is written by BillN.  Thanks Bill!
